Jake Hager was not as lucky in his second fight within Power Slap. Known in WWE as Jack Swagger, he was defeated this Friday by Amanpreet Singh, known in wrestling as Mahabali Shera, after starting the match with an advantage in the early stages.
Hager managed to stagger Singh with a blow in the first round, to the point of forcing him to fall to one knee. However, the outcome came in the third round, when Singh landed the decisive blow that sent Hager to the canvas and ended the fight by knockout.
Mahabali Shera was coming off his most recent stint in TNA, where his last match was a loss to PCO in TNA Countdown to Emergence 2024. Before that, he had worked for most of his career in the company, in addition to going through WWE Developmental in 2018 and Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he won the title in 2022.
On the other hand, Hager made his debut in Power Slap during WrestleMania 42 weekend with a victory. After leaving AEW in 2024, he had said he was "practically retired" from wrestling, although he recently returned to fight for WWC in June.
