Lucha Libre AAA and FOX bring us a new show tonight from Arena Potosí in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The event will feature confirmed appearances by Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano, and Los Perros del Mal. Additionally, Mini Vikingo, Jack Cartwheel, and Dragon Lee will face off in a three-way match for an opportunity at the AAA Cruiserweight World Championship. We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and El Grande Americano.
Triple threat for an opportunity at the AAA Cruiserweight World Championship
Jack Cartwheel vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Dragon Lee
The three men start with a feeling-out phase. Jack surprises Lee with a spinning kick, causing the masked wrestler to fall out of the ring. Mini Vikingo takes advantage and dives with a suicide dive. Cartwheel decides to emulate Mini Vikingo by executing another suicide dive that hits Lee. Jack and Mini Vikingo return to the ring to face off.
Cartwheel and Mini Vikingo show off their agility. Lee grabs Mini Vikingo's legs to throw him out of the ring. At that moment, Jack jumps over both with a Sasuke Special. The action continues in the ring with Dragon and Jack. The masked wrestler immobilizes his opponent in one of the corners, where he prepares to perform a double footstomp. However, Mini Vikingo returns to surprise Lee with a Spanish Fly.
Mini Vikingo kicks Jack before executing a running meteora. Mini Vikingo tries to repeat the move against Lee, but he stops him with a superkick. Dragon immobilizes Mini Vikingo in one of the corners to perform -now- a double footstomp. Cartwheel finishes off Mini Vikingo with a springboard elbow drop. Dragon throws Mini Vikingo out of the ring to start his own fight with the North American. "This is wrestling!" chant the fans.
Jack blocks a Styles Clash from Lee, who quickly throws him out of the ring. Dragon prepares to jump with a suicide dive, but Mini Vikingo prevents it. Mini Vikingo jumps with a corkscrew onto Jack. Mini Vikingo celebrates, only to be surprised by a Shotgun Dropkick from Lee. As a result, Mini Vikingo is sent flying over the commentator's table.
Dragon brings Cartwheel back into the ring, where he tries to finish him off. However, the North American doesn't allow it. Lee dodges the impact of a Standing Shooting Star Press to respond with a tremendous Cutthroat. Both men exchange attacks until Dragon surprises his opponent with a sit-out powerbomb. 1..2..NO.
The action doesn't stop. Jack looks for height to jump on Lee, but he catches him in mid-air to immediately respond with a Styles Clash. Dragon prepares to cover the North American, at which point a recovered Mini Vikingo falls on the former with a 630 senton. Mini Vikingo covers Jack. 1..2..3.

Rey Mysterio approaches El Grande Americano to warn him of the danger posed by Los Perros del Mal. The AAA General Manager is unaware of what El Grande Americano has planned for tonight, but he must know that the faction he is facing has a long history and poses a great threat. That's why he shouldn't face them alone. El Grande Americano thanks him for the warning but also assures him that he knows the faction's history very well. Still, he is not willing to back down from them. Additionally, Rey is right about one thing: he can't win this war alone.
Dominik Mysterio appears on the scene to endorse El Grande Americano's words. The AAA Megachampion blames his father for the situation AAA is in. His poor management has led to the return of Los Perros del Mal and their free reign in the company. Rey wants to pretend he didn't hear that comment since he's happy to see the AAA top champion back at work. Dom points out that he has indeed returned, but not to be another victim of Los Perros del Mal. With that said, he addresses El Grande Americano directly. Dominik reminds him that he didn't interfere in his "mask vs. mask" match against Chad Gable. And he didn't do it because he knew the winner of that match would become his opponent at Triplemanía 34. Dominik doesn't want the biggest match in the history of the grand event to be ruined, and that's exactly what will happen if Los Perros del Mal send El Grande Americano straight to the hospital. "If you are their target, that means I am also a target of Los Perros. So, if they come, I have your back if you have mine," says Dominik. "You? You'll have my back? Dominik Mysterio?" El Grande Americano asks. The Megachampion insists that he will. "Well, I'll believe it when I see it," El Grande Americano says before leaving.
We see Dorian Roldán walking backstage with Omos. Roldán carries the AAA Latin American Championship on his shoulder. "Omos, this is your night. What happened with Vikingo last week was unfortunate. But tonight...", he says before meeting Mini Vikingo. "It seems you picked the wrong Viking," the wrestler says. A threatening Omos pushes Mini Vikingo aside to protect Roldán. They continue on their way to end this brief segment.
Dorian Roldán and Omos make their entrance into the ring. The fans greet them with loud boos. "Screw you, Dorian!" chants the audience. Roldán makes it clear that he never wanted to come to San Luis Potosí. Unfortunately, he had to because he has to share some bad news. Due to Rey Mysterio's negligence, El Hijo del Vikingo has suffered a ligament tear. The wrestler has already undergone surgery, but he will be out of action for many months. Dorian points out that this would never have happened if the AAA General Manager hadn't sent him to SmackDown and NXT, brands he considers unsafe. "El Hijo del Vikingo lost his championship, lost his way to make money. He made this company lose hundreds of thousands of dollars. But more importantly, and I'm going to do this personally, I'm going to sue Rey Mysterio," he says. "Asshole, asshole!" chant the fans.
Dorian continues his promo by announcing an administrative decision. Since El Hijo del Vikingo won't be able to hold the AAA Latin American Championship, Roldán decides to name a new champion, none other than Omos. Dorian hands the belt to the Nigerian, who quickly puts it on his shoulder. "If anyone has a problem with Omos being named champion, come to the ring, look this giant in the eyes, and try to take that title from him," he exclaims before raising his partner's arm.
Rey Mysterio interrupts the segment!
Rey heads to the ring, where he is cheered by the fans. First of all, Mysterio wishes a speedy recovery for El Hijo del Vikingo. The WWE Hall of Famer knows very well what the talent is going through, as he has had to undergo more than a dozen knee surgeries himself. However, if there's anyone who can overcome this, it's undoubtedly El Hijo del Vikingo. That said, Mysterio reminds Roldán that he can't name a new champion. Things don't work that way, and he knows it. That's why he revokes his decision. Rey goes directly to Omos to give him a single chance to hand over the belt. The Nigerian quickly confronts Mysterio. He must stretch his neck to be able to look Omos in the eye. Roldán smiles in the background. "Please, do the right thing. Hand it over. Or else, I'll suspend you indefinitely from AAA," says Rey. Concerned, Dorian asks his partner to obey. Omos pushes the belt against Mysterio's chest, who ends up in the ropes.
With the title now in his possession, Rey officially declares the championship vacant, and announces that next week he will reveal the path to crown a new champion. With that said, Rey turns back to address Roldán. "Dorian, if you really want to sue me, I'll see you in court," says the General Manager before leaving the ring. Rey heads back to backstage to end this segment.
Damian Priest sends a video message. "Rey Mysterio, I just heard the news. If you're looking for a new AAA Latin American Champion, look no further, because Damian Priest is here. As I said before, The Champion has arrived in AAA. Stand up, everyone!" he exclaims to end the video.
Rey Mysterio addresses the journalists in a press conference. The AAA General Manager announces that Verano de Escándalo will be a three-night event, with three headline events. One of them will feature the defense of the Cruiserweight World Championship, which will pit Rey Fenix against Mini Vikingo. The Reina de Reinas Championship will be on the line, with Flammer defending her title in a triple threat match against Lady Shani and La Catalina. Lastly, Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice will defend the Mixed Tag Team Championships. Their opponents will be determined next week when La Hiedra and Laredo Kid face off against Faby Apache and Joaquin Wilde.
Rey reiterates that next week he will offer more details on how a new AAA Latin American Champion will be crowned. Finally, Mysterio invites Andrea Bazarte to the next AAA show, as they have a lot to talk about. Rey thanks the journalists for their time. After that, he picks up the Latin American Championship and leaves the room.
Tag Team Match
Money Machine (Golden Claw and Silver Fang) vs. Noisy Boy and Epydemius Jr.
Silver Fang and Noisy Boy start the fight. Both men struggle for the advantage. Noisy Boy shows off his great agility, earning the applause of his opponent. Silver Fang and Noisy Boy tag in their respective partners. Epydemius Jr. surprises Golden Claw with a pair of scissors before applying a tornado DDT. Epydemius Jr. tags in Noisy Boy. Both combine against Golden Claw to perform a double slam. Epydemius Jr. propels his partner to land on Golden Claw. 1..2..NO.
Golden Claw kicks Noisy Boy before tagging in Silver Fang. Now it's Money Machine who combines against Noisy Boy, who ends up being crushed by Golden Claw. He covers his opponent while Silver Fang dives onto Epydemius Jr. with a suicide dive. The referee counts to three on Noisy Boy. 1..2..NO. Money Machine continues to dominate the match.
Noisy Boy escapes from his opponents to tag in Epydemius Jr., who enters with full force. Epydemius Jr. jumps onto Money Machine with a diving crossbody. Epydemius Jr. kicks Silver Fang with an enzuigiri to continue with a forearm. Golden Claw returns to help his partner but ends up receiving a corkscrew from Epydemius Jr. He jumps with a tope onto Silver Fang. Meanwhile, Noisy Boy finishes off Golden Claw with a corkscrew senton. 1..2..NO. "This is wrestling!" chant the fans.
The action continues. Noisy Boy surprises Golden Claw with a poisonrana. Now it's Silver Fang who surprises Noisy Boy with a release german suplex. Silver Fang and Epydemius Jr. knock each other down with a clothesline simultaneously. The four men remain lying on the mat when Karmen Petrovic appears on the entrance ramp. Los Perros del Mal soon storm the ring to attack the four masked wrestlers.
Match ends in a no contest
Los Perros del Mal get rid of Epydemius Jr. and Noisy Boy to focus their assault on Money Machine, whose clothes are torn. Daga grabs a microphone to address El Grande Americano directly. "Grande Americano! We've seen you whining, complaining, and saying you have a problem. That you're not alone. Well, here we are! Why don't you come out and settle things once and for all, asshole? Because if you don't come out right now, this mess will continue!".
El Grande Americano appears on the entrance ramp!
Bravo and Rayo Americano accompany El Grande Americano. The three men head to the ring to start a brawl with Los Perros del Mal. However, the faction's numerical superiority quickly gives them the advantage. Rayo and Bravo are eliminated from the equation. Daga, Angel, and Berto surround El Grande Americano in the center of the ring. The masked wrestler takes off his jacket to launch an attack, but once again falls to his enemies. At that moment...
Dominik Mysterio enters the scene!
Dominik runs into the ring armed with a metal chair. Los Perros del Mal escape from the ring. Dom grabs a microphone. "Perros del Mal. I don't know what you're doing here, but until my match with El Grande Americano at Triplemanía, your business is my business. So, Daga, at Verano de Escándalo, pick one of your bitches, because it will be Los Perros del Mal against The King of Fighters, Dirty Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano!", he exclaims. Dom throws the mic at the faction, who retreats through the entrance ramp. Mysterio extends his hand to El Grande Americano to help him stand up. And so we reach the end of this week's episode of Lucha Libre AAA.
