WWE has announced a new edition of Worlds Collide for Saturday, September 26th. The show will take place in Chicago, Illinois, the same city that will host the All Elite Wrestling PPV All Out. The WWE event in collaboration with AAA will be held at the AllState Arena at 8:00 PM ET. On the other hand, the AEW show will take place at the Now Arena. Pending official confirmation, the show would start an hour before Worlds Collide, so both events will overlap for the most part.
This is not the first time that WWE and AEW compete directly. The company owned by Endeavor has scheduled several events in the last year that have coincided with PPVs from Tony Khan's company. The last showdown took place on June 28th when NXT The Great American Bash and AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door competed in the same time slot.
This will be the third edition of WWE x AAA Worlds Collide. A show born after the announcement of the purchase of the Mexican company. The last edition took place in September of last year, with Dominik Mysterio winning the AAA Megachampionship in the main event of the night. A title that he has not lost yet.
As it happened in the previous two editions, Worlds Collide will feature WWE superstars and AAA talents. So far, the company has not confirmed names, although the fact that the logo includes CM Punk's colors, combined with the event being held in his hometown, suggests that "The Best in the World" will have, at least, an appearance to grab the audience's attention.
