Tonight WWE celebrates a new Saturday Night's Main Event show, this time from the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York. The show will be broadcast on Peacock in the United States, and on YouTube in LATAM and Spain. In total, the company has confirmed five matches, one of them in the Countdown Show.

Joe Tessitore and Stephanie McMahon welcome us to the Countdown Show from the commentator's table located in the stands area. After reviewing tonight's card, we move to the ringside commentator's table, where Wade Barrett and Michael Cole are already prepared for the first match of the show.
Trick Williams vs. Laredo Kid
Williams snatches the crown that Kid wears to throw it towards the stands. Upset, Laredo pushes Trick. Trick pushes him back to make him fall on the canvas. The Mexican showcases his agility to surprise his opponent, whom he knocks down with a Missile Dropkick. Laredo targets his opponent's left leg with several kicks before using the ropes to continue the punishment.
Williams counters with a spinning kick to regain control. Trick throws Kid against one of the corners before covering him. 1..2..NO. Williams performs a Vertical Suplex on Kid. Trick unleashes a flurry of punches on the masked wrestler in one of the corners. Laredo escapes from the clutches of the United States Champion, whom he knocks down with a superkick. Kid finishes him off with two consecutive spinning moonsaults. 1..2..NO.
Laredo tries to catch Williams' injured leg in a Single Boston Crab. Trick kicks several times to free himself, but his opponent responds with a Penalty Kick. Kid tries to repeat the attack, but this time Trick dodges it to respond with a neckbreaker. Williams continues to attack Kid, applying a spinning kick, followed by a faceplant. Trick slaps Laredo before unleashing a flurry of kicks in one of the corners.
Williams executes a powerslam on his opponent before setting up his uranage, but Laredo reverses it into a roll-up. 1..2..NO. Williams ends up outside the ring. Kid seeks height on one of the posts to launch himself with a Swanton Bomb! Kid brings his opponent back into the ring to launch himself with a Laredo 630. Williams dodges it to respond with a definitive Trick Shot. 1..2..3.

Stephanie McMahon welcomes Oba Femi to the ring. He quickly makes his entrance on the ramp. "Ooooooooooooooba, Oooooooooooooooba!" chants the fans to welcome "The Ruler." The Nigerian heads to the ring as the crowd continues chanting his name. Once in the ring, Stephanie asks him about his match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. A fight that could be described as the most important and dangerous of his career. Oba recalls that his personal score with Brock is tied at one. And yes, Lesnar's name may be above his, but when it comes to mind games, the Nigerian is far ahead of "The Beast." Femi assures that he lives in his enemy's head. Furthermore, it was Lesnar who lost at WrestleMania, who feigned retirement, who has not stopped running from him, and who surrounds himself with fake cops. Oba wants to send a direct message to "The Beast," who will find out that the top in this business is changing. "Brock, I need you to understand. When SummerSlam arrives, I won't be locked in with you. You'll be locked in with me! Because I am The Ruler, The Destroyer, The Bringer of War, the Mountain you can't climb, the Mountain you can't conquer, the One, The Slayer, The King of the Ring! Brie Bella and Paige (c) vs. Fatal Influence (Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley) (with Jacy Jayne)
Fallon tries to surprise Paige, but she quickly reacts to throw her out of the ring. Lainey runs towards the Brit to hit her from behind. Paige quickly recovers to knock down Reid, whom she punches repeatedly. The champions work together to execute a double facebreaker on Lainey, who ends up retreating to her corner. Henley receives the tag, only to fall into the clutches of Brie and Paige.
Reid pats her partner's back without Paige noticing. The challengers manage to surprise the Brit with a combined attack using the ropes. Fatal Influence takes control. Henley and Reid take turns punishing Paige in her own corner. Lainey knocks down Paige to stomp on her face. Then, she traps her in a headlock. Paige applies a jawbreaker to free herself from the hold. The Brit escapes from the challengers to tag in Brie, who enters with determination.
Bella applies a Russian Leg Swap on Fallon before kicking her chest with a series of Shoot Kicks. "Yes! Yes!" chant the fans with each impact. Brie seeks height to launch herself with a Missile Dropkick. After that, she tries to catch her in a Yes Lock, but her rival crawls to the ropes to force the release. Henley surprises Brie with a faceplant. Both women remain lying on the canvas. Paige receives the tag from her partner.
The Brit immobilizes Henley in the ropes to execute her Rope Hung Knee Strikes. Jacy climbs onto the apron to confront Paige. She quickly throws a punch at the leader of Fatal Influence. A recovered Fallon takes advantage to hit Paige's throat, whom she knocks down with a sliding german suplex. As soon as she lands on the floor, Henley is caught by a furious Bella, who pushes her towards the audience barrier.
Brie distracts Lainey long enough for Paige to dodge a moonsault. Paige covers Reid. 1..2..NO. Fallon interrupts the count. The Brit expels Henley from the ring, at which point Reid surprises her with a roll-up. 1..2..NO. Paige stops a running knee strike from Lainey with a superkick. Paige tries to apply her finisher on Reid, but Jacy climbs onto the apron to distract the referee. Fallon takes advantage to knock down Paige with a clothesline.
Lainey charges at Paige. She dodges, causing the former to hit the post. Fallon grabs her partner's arms to prevent Paige from covering her, but Bella knocks her down with a clothesline. Both women lie on the ground. Meanwhile, Paige surprises Lainey with a roll-up. 1..2..NO. Jayne climbs onto the apron to spin Paige, causing her partner to cover the champion. 1..2..3.

Cathy Kelley interviews Sami Zayn backstage. The Canadian wants to choose his words carefully because the last thing he wants is to consider himself a victim. However, everything he has experienced since winning the WWE Undisputed Championship has been truly crazy. Zayn still doesn't understand why Cody Rhodes and CM Punk will compete at SummerSlam for the title as if it were the most normal thing in the world when he had to work hard to earn it. Sami called Nick Aldis on the phone to indicate that he should be at the biggest event of the summer fighting for the gold. However, what he received in return is a tag team match at Saturday Night's Main Event with a man who just yesterday claimed that the Canadian is not at his level. Gunther interrupts the interview. "Whatever you're going to do tonight, keep it away from me, and don't ruin SummerSlam for me", says "The Ring General" before leaving.
We see Terence Crawford, N3ON, O'Shea Jackson Jr., and Trick Williams in the front row.
Jackie Redmond interviews JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan in the Gorilla Position. Redmond asks McDonagh about his opponent tonight. An opponent many describe as "unpredictable." The Irishman makes it clear that Danhausen is the curse of WWE, but tonight The Judgment Day will take care of him once and for all. "The games are over," says JD before heading to the ring.

JD McDonagh (with Dominik Mysterio) vs. Danhausen
Danhausen tries to curse JD, but he quickly leaves the ring to avoid it. Dominik climbs onto the apron to distract Danhausen with the New York Knicks shirt he stole. JD returns to the ring to surprise his opponent from behind. The Irishman throws Danhausen out of the ring to continue attacking him. McDonagh brings Danhausen back into the ring to apply a Snap Suplex. After that, he finishes him off with a diving headbutt. 1..2..NO. Meanwhile, Mysterio cleans his shoes with the New York Knicks shirt. The fans boo him for his lack of respect for the local team. JD keeps hitting Danhausen. McDonagh throws him against one of the corners before doing some push-ups.
Danhausen manages to recover to unleash a flurry of punches in one of the corners. JD escapes from his opponent's clutches, making him fall in the corner. After that, he performs a brainbuster. 1..2..NO. Dominik hands JD the New York Knicks shirt, which he places on Danhausen's body. JD jumps with a moonsault. Danhausen dodges it, causing his opponent to hit the canvas.
Danhausen puts on the shirt to a loud ovation. JD attacks Danhausen from behind, but his opponent remains standing. Danhausen unleashes a counterattack on the Irishman. Mysterio bursts into the ring to prevent Danhausen from executing an inverted DDT on his partner. JD and Dom join forces to launch an assault on Danhausen, whose shirt they end up tearing apart.
Mysterio and McDonagh leave the ring in search of a table. Meanwhile, Danhausen heads to his carhausen. Dom and JD pull a table from under the ring, only to find a Minihausen on it! Two more Minihausens appear to attack the heels. They get rid of their attackers by throwing them against the audience barrier and the metal stairs. Meanwhile, Danhausen reaches his carhausen to grab his plush cat, which he puts into his cloning machine.
JD and Dom bring one of the Minihausens into the ring, where they intend to finish him off on the table. At that moment, the cloning machine finishes its job. The door falls. The mist gives way to the New York Knicks player Karl Anthony Towns. He heads to the ring alongside Danhausen. McDonagh tries to attack Anthony, but he easily stops him to apply a chokeslam. Anthony catches Dominik to repeat the move, this time on the table, which ends up shattered. Meanwhile, Danhausen finishes JD with an inverted DDT. 1..2..3.

Cathy Kelley interviews Lyra Valkyria backstage. The Irishwoman recalls that the last time she was at Madison Square Garden, she and Bayley were after the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Lyra points out that her entire career she has wanted to be at the top and feel proud of how she did it. "And now, here we are," she says. Valkyria wonders how things would have gone if Bayley had been the partner she really needed. But it doesn't matter anymore because after tonight, "The Role Model" will forever leave her head. The Irishwoman leaves to end the interview.

Jackie Redmond interviews Bayley backstage. "The Role Model" recalls how last Monday she gave Lyra Valkyria an opportunity. However, now she is aware that she has been making history in WWE for the past decade, and it will be her who ends her former partner's career before it even begins. Bayley heads to the ring to finish the interview.
Lyra Valkyria vs. Bayley
Lyra and Bayley grapple as they take the action towards one of the corners. Bayley slaps Lyra, who responds with fury. Bayley doesn't allow herself to be hit, leading the Irishwoman to escape to the apron area. Bayley goes after her to elbow her directly in the face. After that, she performs a suplex directly onto the floor. The referee approaches the Irishwoman, who is bleeding from the nose.
Furious, Valkyria jumps on Bayley to resume the fight. Lyra hits "The Role Model" with the help of the ropes to continue attacking her. The referee stops the fight again to clean the blood from Lyra's face. Bayley expels the Irishwoman from the ring before launching herself with a suicide dive. The action returns to the ring. Valkyria regains control of the fight. The Irishwoman crushes Bayley's head in the corner.
Bayley performs a bodydrop on Lyra to regain the initiative. "The Role Model" applies a Boston Crab on the Irishwoman. She turns to kick her opponent and escape the hold. Bayley surprises Lyra from the apron area. Valkyria recovers to perform a neckbreaker with the help of the ropes before launching a diving legdrop directly onto her opponent's neck. 1..2..NO.
Bayley and Lyra trade blows. Bayley blocks a spinning kick before responding with a side suplex. Bayley continues her offense with an exploder suplex. Lyra blocks the Rose Plant, only to be taken down by a clothesline straight to the back of the neck. Bayley locks in a crossface on Valkyria. Lyra gets back to her feet and drives Bayley into the ropes, forcing her to break the hold. Lyra traps "The Role Model" in a sleeper. Bayley begins to fade, prompting the referee to call for the bell.
Winner by submission: Lyra Valkyria
Valkyria kicks Bayley out of the ring before driving her into one of the ring posts and locking in another sleeper. Jessika Carr rushes to ringside to help her fellow official pull the Irishwoman away from her victim. However, Valkyria isn't finished yet. Lyra heads over to the steel steps and pulls them apart. She places her former friend on the base of the steps before planting her with a Nightwing. Officials order Lyra to leave the area. Valkyria heads up the entrance ramp while Bayley remains motionless on the steel steps.
We see Johnny Fisher and Efe Ajagba sitting in the front row.
Cathy Kelley interviews Cody Rhodes and CM Punk in the Gorilla Position. Kelley asks them about their opponents tonight, who don't exactly seem to be on the same page. Rhodes is glad that, for once, the question isn't whether he and CM Punk can coexist before their SummerSlam match. The answer, in any case, is yes. Rhodes and CM Punk have known each other for many years. They're friends, and they'll have each other's backs tonight. CM Punk agrees. Both men want to face each other one-on-one to find out who the better man is. That means they need to make sure Gunther and Sami Zayn don't get added to that match tonight. With that said, CM Punk asks Rhodes who should make the entrance first. Cody replies that Punk should, because champions always enter last. Rhodes then heads to the ring, bringing the interview to an end.
Tag Team Match
CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. Sami Zayn and Gunther (if Zayn and Gunther win, they will be added to the Undisputed WWE Championship Match at SummerSlam)
CM Punk attacks Sami before he can even enter the ring. All four men brawl as the referee tries to restore order. Gunther waits in his corner while CM Punk and Cody take turns punishing Zayn. Sami carries Punk toward his corner, allowing Gunther to tag in. The Austrian unleashes a relentless assault on CM Punk, eventually sending him crashing over the barricade into the crowd.
Rhodes goes after CM Punk and brings him back into the ring. Sami quickly catches the Undisputed WWE Champion with a shot. CM Punk knocks Sami off the top turnbuckle before taking him down with a diving crossbody. Both men are left laid out on the mat. They crawl toward their respective corners and tag in their partners. Cody enters like a house of fire, taking on both opponents at once.
Rhodes catches Gunther with a Cody Cutter. "The American Nightmare" wipes out Sami with a suicide dive before returning to the ring and hitting another Cody Cutter on Gunther. 1...2...NO. Gunther blocks a Cross Rhodes and tags in Zayn. Sami surprises Cody with a Blue Thunder Bomb. 1...2...NO. Rhodes avoids a Helluva Kick, causing Sami to crash into the turnbuckles. CM Punk gets the tag.
CM Punk unloads on Zayn with a running knee strike, followed by a bulldog. Punk follows up with a diving elbow drop. 1...2...NO. CM Punk locks Sami in the Anaconda Vise. Gunther tries to intervene, but Rhodes stops him with a Figure Four Leglock. Gunther pokes CM Punk in the eye, forcing him to release Sami. Zayn then returns the favor by freeing the Austrian from Cody's submission.
Sami connects with a Helluva Kick on CM Punk. Cody immediately answers with a Cross Rhodes on Zayn. Gunther then levels Cody with a clothesline. A recovered CM Punk drops Gunther with a GTS. All four men are down. "This is awesome!" the crowd chants.
Gunther tags himself in and applies a Sleeper Hold to CM Punk. Punk tries to fight free, but Gunther shoves him into Cody, knocking Rhodes off the apron to ringside. The Austrian immediately reapplies the Sleeper Hold. Cody makes it back to his corner and reaches out his hand. CM Punk stretches toward him until he finally makes the tag. Cody hits Gunther with a Cross Rhodes. 1...2...NO. Sami shoves CM Punk into the referee, breaking up the count.
Zayn attacks both CM Punk and Rhodes while the referee recovers outside the ring. CM Punk catches Sami with a GTS. Cody and Punk team up on Gunther. Punk holds "The Ring General" in place so Rhodes can hit a Cody Cutter. However, the Austrian moves at the last second, causing Cody to hit his own partner instead.
Gunther leaves the ring and grabs the Undisputed WWE Championship. He uses the title belt as a weapon, smashing it into Rhodes' face before following up with a powerbomb. Gunther covers "The American Nightmare" and calls for another referee. A new official sprints to the ring and begins the count. 1...2...NO. Nick Aldis suddenly appears and pulls the referee out of the ring, stopping the count.
Furious, Gunther confronts the SmackDown General Manager at ringside, only for Aldis to respond with a right hand. CM Punk capitalizes by drilling "The Ring General" with a GTS, leaving him unconscious on the mat. "The Best in the World" drags Rhodes over and lays him across Gunther. Meanwhile, Aldis helps the original referee back to his feet and returns him to the ring. The official makes the three-count. 1...2...3.

A video package airs highlighting the New York Knicks' NBA Finals victory. Their biggest star, Jalen Brunson, is shown making his arrival through the arena corridors. Roman Reigns is waiting for him in the Gorilla Position. Brunson accompanies "The OTC" during his signature entrance, including raising his index finger to the sky, as fireworks explode throughout the arena. "The OTC" and the New York Knicks star make their way to the ring, where they once again pose with their fingers raised.
"OTC! OTC!" the fans chant, followed by "Jalen Brunson!" Roman says everyone is probably wondering why Brunson is with him. The answer is simple: greatness recognizes greatness. Roman reminds everyone that Madison Square Garden is WWE's home, and every time he steps into the building, the fans make him feel at home as well. Tonight, he wants to acknowledge the Knicks' captain, NBA Champion, and King of New York, Jalen Brunson. Roman points out that every champion in WWE needs a championship belt, so he decided to fix that. Roman presents Brunson with a custom World Heavyweight Championship created specifically for the occasion. The title features a blue strap, matching the New York Knicks' colors. "You deserve it!" the fans chant. "He doesn't just deserve it. This man earned it," says "The OTC." "Now it's complete. Now is the time. Madison Square Garden... ACKNOWLEDGE US!" Reigns and Brunson raise their championships, but suddenly...
BURN IT DOWN!
Tyrese Haliburton appears carrying a steel chair. The Indiana Pacers star's distraction allows Seth Rollins to storm the ring and attack Reigns from behind. Tyrese hands the chair to "The Visionary." Rollins kicks Roman in the head before placing it on top of the chair. Seth sets up for a Stomp, but Brunson steps in front of him. As Seth argues with Jalen, Roman fires back with a Superman Punch. Reigns follows up with a Spear on Rollins. Haliburton helps Rollins retreat from the ring and escorts him to the backstage area. Roman and Jalen celebrate together in the center of the ring. At that point, an arena staff member brings the NBA Championship Trophy into the ring. Jalen invites Roman to hold it. Reigns fastens the World Heavyweight Championship around Brunson's waist so he can wear two titles. Roman then raises the trophy high above his head. The two men pose surrounded by championship gold as fireworks erupt throughout the arena. With that image, the show comes to a close.
