SummerSlam ticket sales have picked up in recent days

Less than a week ago, we reported on the slow ticket sales pace for this year's SummerSlam edition, with just 22,000 tickets sold for each night in a venue (the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis) that can accommodate over 70,000 spectators. A trend that has been reversed in the last few days.

According to WrestleTix, SummerSlam Saturday has sold 6,390 tickets in the last five days. Currently, the show has sold 29,170 tickets out of the 31,704 available, leaving 1,853 still available. Nevertheless, this is still a much lower number compared to last year's edition night 1, which saw an attendance of 50,493 spectators at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

SummerSlam Sunday has sold 26,811 tickets out of the 31,425 available, leaving 3,800 still available, according to the latest WrestleTix update as of July 20. It is expected that this number has increased in the last few hours, as it happened with night 1 of the event.

It is worth noting that last weekend, in celebration of Saturday Night's Main Event, WWE announced a discount of up to 80% on some tickets, reducing them to $25 by applying a discount code (JJETS) for a limited time. Judging by the results, it can be said that the promotion has been a complete success, bringing WWE closer to the desired "sold out" status.
