Live Report of WWE NXT July 21, 2026

WWE NXT starts on Netflix!

We see Robert Stone instructing a referee not to allow Tony D'Angelo and Naraku to come to blows before the main event. Stone emphasizes the importance of having a winner tonight. He takes out his cell phone to talk to someone. "Will you come tonight?" he asks. "Perfect," he adds after hearing the response from the other person. Thea Hail appears on the scene to ask Stone for a few minutes of his time, but the General Manager seems too busy. Nattie enters the office, pointing out that Stone will always have time for a legend like her. With that said, she promises to defeat Jaida Parker tonight. "Or maybe she'll defeat you," says Hail. Both women start a small argument that Stone cuts short. The General Manager asks Nattie if she needs anything. "Tonight, I will finish Jaida Parker," Nattie simply responds before leaving. Thea tries to talk to Stone again, but he has to leave, leaving her alone in the office.

Tag Team Match
DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Cutler James) vs. Saquon Shugars, Noam Dar, and Romeo Moreno

Shugars gets out of the ring to attack his former teammates before they can enter the ring. Moreno and Dar decide to follow Saquon to join the fray. However, the members of DarkState quickly take control of the situation. Noam and Lennox start the fight inside the ring. Dar tags in Shugars, who is ready to face Dion. However, he decides to tag in Osiris.

Griffin and James take turns hitting Saquon. He surprises Osiris with a chop block before tagging in Moreno. The Spanish wrestler combines perfectly with Noam to expel their three opponents from the ring. Shugars suggests to the Europeans to finish off Dion with a triple powerbomb on the commentary table, but Cutler and Osiris don't allow it. The DarkState members launch an assault on Saquon at ringside.

Lennox brings Dar back into the ring to punish him. Dion tags in Cutler, who delivers several direct uppercuts to the back of the Scotsman's neck. Osiris receives the tag to continue the assault on Dar, to whom he applies a Vader Bomb. 1..2..NO. Griffin crushes Noam in his corner before tagging in Lennox. He knocks down the Scotsman with an elbow. 1..2..NO. Dion traps Dar in a headlock. Noam tries to break free, but his opponent knocks him down with a side slam. Meanwhile, Noam hits one of James' legs to make him fall off the apron. Romeo stands on the top rope to jump on Cutler and Griffin with a tope. The fans go wild. "NXT, NXT!" they chant.

Meanwhile, Shugars carries Dion on his shoulders to apply a Death Valley Driver against a wall. It ends up shattered with both wrestlers inside. Osiris traps Noam to throw him to the ground. Noam and Moreno prepare to return to the ring. Osiris traps the Scotsman to slam him against the ground. Griffin joins James to finish off Romeo with a double powerbomb in the center of the ring. 1..2..3.

Winners: DarkState

Shugars and Lennox try to continue their fight, but several officials, as well as Osiris and James, keep them separated to prevent it. And so we reach the end of this segment.

Lizzy Rain enters the women's locker room lamenting what happened last week. The British wrestler acknowledges that she missed her chance to win the NXT Women's North American Championship because she was too busy trying to kick Izzi Dame. Lizzy knows that this is one of the best women's divisions in the world, but she didn't expect it to be so chaotic. Thea Hail agrees with Rain, as she can't even get 30 seconds to talk to Robert Stone. Skylar Raye knows very well how she feels, as she has been trying to fit into the division since her time in WWE LFG. "Skylar, yours is easy. I keep dealing with Nattie. She doesn't even belong here," says Jaida Parker. "To begin with, aren't you the reason we have to deal with Nattie?" asks Wren Sinclair. Jaida understands her point of view, but she also promises her that tonight she will take care of the Canadian. Thea interrupts the conversation to remind her teammates that they have all said something they regretted later. However, she hopes that Parker kicks Nattie's butt tonight. Jaida fist bumps Hail before leaving. Thea also wishes Raye luck in her match tonight. Skylar leaves with Lizzy. Sinclair asks Kendal Grey if she has thought about what she will say to Lola Vice in their face-off tonight. "The truth is, I haven't," confesses Grey. Both head to the ring to end this segment.

Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair enter the ring. Lola Vice is the next to appear on the scene. Vice greets the fans and the NXT Champion. Kendal acknowledges that she had imagined she would have this encounter with Kelani Jordan or Kali Armstrong. Lola is convinced that would have benefited Grey, as the latter's victory at The Great American Bash was just luck. "I told you that one day you would dominate the NXT women's division, but only when Lola Vice is done. And I haven't done that yet," says Lola. She points out that she has worked very hard to reach the top of the women's division. She had to overcome many obstacles and defeats: Lyra Valkyria, Roxanne Perez, Stephanie Vaquer, and Jacy Jayne, until she finally reached her moment. "I get it. I get it. You became what everyone said you could be. But then you met me," says Kendal.

Lola recalled Grey's first promo as champion, where she seemed somewhat nervous, overwhelmed, and shy. Kendal said then that during the contract signing for their match at The Great American Bash, when she looked at Vice, she saw a champion. "And you were right. But to be honest, all I saw when I looked at you was someone who needed validation," says Lola. "I don't need validation. This title is validation. Unlike you, I haven't needed years to prove that I belong here. And I'm not going to apologize for it," Grey responds.

Vice assures that the mirror never lies. When she stands in front of it, she sees a champion, whether she has a championship around her waist or not. When she looks at Kendal, she sees a confident woman. However, when Grey looks at herself, she still sees a shy, confident, and vulnerable girl. Kendal points out that Lola can say whatever she wants, but the truth is that there is no one in the women's locker room who can defeat her. Vice insists that her victory at The Great American Bash was a matter of luck. "You beat me in a match, not in a fight," says Vice. Kendal knows well what Lola intends, and she thinks it's a great idea, as she can prove she's better than her on her own turf. Vice advises her to think it over because she plans to expose her to the world. If she wants to move forward, she will give her a week to train, and on August 4th, they can face each other in an Underground Match, where she will regain her title. Grey accepts the challenge. "After I knock you out and regain my title, the little 'Miss, pick me' will have to be picked up from the mat," says Lola. "I'll see you in the Underground. And once I'm done kicking your butt, you can shake it again," Kendal replies. She throws the microphone to raise the belt in front of Vice. And so we reach the end of this face-off.

Keanu Carver vs. Hank Walker (with Tank Ledger)

Walker bursts into the ring, ready to take action, forcing the referee to start the match. Hank surprises Keanu with a big boot. Carver responds with a punch. Walker kicks Carver again, who responds in kind. As a result, Hank ends up at ringside. Tank cheers on his partner, who quickly returns to the ring to surprise his opponent with a Black Hole Slam. 1..2..NO.

Keanu performs a backbreaker on Walker. Carver continues to punish his opponent's back, applying a Fallaway Slam. 1..2..NO. Ledger continues to cheer on his partner. Hank brings his opponent back into the ring. Walker seeks height in one of the corners to jump with a diving clothesline on Carver. However, he dodges the attack to respond with a Pounce. Keanu finishes off Hank with a definitive spinebuster. 1..2..3.

Winner: Keanu Carver

Keanu continues to attack Walker, leading Ledger to intervene. Tank launches an assault on Carver, leading both to ringside. Keanu traps Ledger to drop him on the commentary table. Still unsatisfied, Carver dismantles the metal stairs, which he intends to use against Tank. Suddenly, EK Prosper appears out of nowhere to kick him! After that, he crushes his back with a double footstomp. Ledger brings Keanu back into the ring. Tank and Hank crush him in the center of the ring before applying their combined finisher. EK Prosper finishes him off with a moonsault. Walker, Ledger, and EK Prosper celebrate over their enemy to end this segment.

Nattie, Karmen Petrovic, and Nikkita Lyons meet with Thea Hail backstage. Nattie offers to help her, as she has done with so many other girls. That's why she invites her to train in "The Dungeon 2.0". This way, she can become relevant again. Nattie uses her two companions as examples. "I can do a lot for you, because frankly, whatever you're doing on your own, whatever it is, isn't working. So, you can aspire to be a legend like me, or aspire to be a soft bitch like Jaida Parker," says the Canadian. "I really don't care about Jaida Parker. I don't like you," says Thea. "If I were you, I'd think twice," Karmen warns her. Lyons, on the other hand, snatches the towel from her hands. The three women leave the place. "I hope she punches you and makes you eat your teeth," says Hail as the segment comes to an end.

We see a video recorded last night in Danhausen's laboratory. He had the unexpected visit of Shiloh Hill. After introducing himself, Hill explained to Danhausen his problem with Tristan Angels, who last week broke his tooth. That's why he asked if he could have one of his. Danhausen rummaged through his peculiar collection of teeth to give him one. However, it will cost him human money. Hill didn't have cash on hand, but he did have a USB drive with which he could transfer cryptocurrencies. Danhausen accepted the payment, although he didn't know how to insert the USB drive into his computer. Danhausen bid farewell to Hill, saying he would figure it out. "I hope it wasn't a cursed tooth. It would be a problem for everyone, but not for me," Danhausen murmured before continuing with his work.

Nattie (with Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons) vs. Jaida Parker

Parker knocks down Nattie to unleash a flurry of punches. Karmen and Nikkita climb onto the apron to distract Jaida. Nattie takes advantage to surprise Parker from behind. Nattie slaps Jaida, who quickly responds. Parker knocks down Nattie with a shoulder tackle, forcing the Canadian to take refuge in the ropes area. Jaida challenges her to come back.

Parker traps Nattie's left arm to punish it. Nattie kicks Jaida to break free. Both women exchange slaps. Parker immobilizes Nattie in the ropes area to apply The Silencer. Jaida prepares to finish her off with the Hypnotic, but Lyons and Petrovic save their teammate just in time. Furious, Jaida charges at Karmen. Nattie takes advantage to execute a chop block on her opponent's left leg.

Nattie focuses her punishment on Parker's injured leg, hitting it against one of the posts. The Canadian applies a Figure Four Leglock with the help of the post to inflict as much damage as possible. Nattie continues to punish Parker's leg. She escapes the pressure from her opponent, only to be knocked down with a clothesline. 1...2...NO. Jaida crawls to the apron to escape to ringside, thus freeing herself from the hold.

Nattie tries to catch Parker, but Parker surprises her by shoving her into the steel steps. The Canadian injures her right knee. Nattie returns to the ring, only to be taken down with a chop block. Parker locks Nattie in a Sharpshooter. Nattie screams in pain. Nilkkita tries to throw in the towel she took from Thea Hail, but Karmen stops her. The two women struggle while Nattie continues enduring the pain. Suddenly, Hail appears to retrieve her towel, which she throws into the ring. When the referee sees the towel, he decides to stop the match.

Winner by submission: Jaida Parker

Furious, Nattie turns toward ringside to see Thea, the woman directly responsible for her defeat. Hail joins Jaida's celebration on the entrance ramp while the heels watch from inside the ring.

We cut backstage, where Robert Stone is talking on the phone with the mysterious person set to appear on tonight's show. Once the call ends, the General Manager is approached by Kelani Jordan. She shows him footage from last week's match, where she pinned Kali Armstrong for more than three seconds. Jordan points out that, if not for the referee's mistake, she would now be the No. 1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship. Stone says he's sorry to hear that, but the referee's decision is final. "And you call yourself a man of integrity? Screwed over, AGAIN," Kelani says before walking away. At that moment, OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) arrive. Stone informs them that they'll face BirthRight in a tag team match next week. The news is well received by Nima and Price. Stone also wants to speak with Bronco about something. Since NXT and AAA (where Bronco regularly appears as a member of Los Perros del Mal) will be running shows on the same day, Stone wants to discuss the situation. "We can talk in private if that makes it easier," Stone tells Nima while glancing at Lucien. "It's all good. You'll fill me in later," Price tells his partner before walking away. Bronco looks worried about his friend's reaction. The segment comes to an end.

Shawn Spears vs. Niko Vance (w/ Izzi Dame)

Spears' music hits. Niko waits for him to appear, but only sees a chair sitting on the entrance ramp. Shawn suddenly appears behind him. Izzi notices it. Spears points to his head, making it clear he's smarter than they are. Shawn spins Vance around and lands several punches. The referee calls for the bell as Spears sends his opponent to the floor with a clothesline.

The action continues at ringside, where Niko takes control. Vance brings his opponent back into the ring. Vance launches Shawn into a corner. Spears fires back with painful chops. Niko rolls Shawn back into the ring to continue his assault.

Vance plants Spears with a backbreaker before following up with a diving headbutt. Niko continues attacking Shawn, who retreats to ringside. Vance approaches Spears, only to fall into his trap. Shawn heads to the top of the entrance ramp to retrieve his steel chair. Spears returns to the ring, ready to use it against his opponent, but the referee stops him.

Dame climbs onto the apron to confront her former ally. Suddenly, Lizzy Rain appears and attacks Dame. The two women brawl at ringside, drawing the referee's attention. Shawn takes advantage by slamming the chair onto the mat before immediately handing it to Niko. Spears then drops flat on his back. The referee turns around to see Shawn lying on the canvas while Vance is holding the chair. The official immediately calls for the bell.

Winner by opponent disqualification: Shawn Spears

Enraged, Niko tries to attack Shawn with the chair, but a swarm of officials rushes out to stop him. Spears continues pretending to be hurt, wearing a slight smile on his face.

Backstage, Robert Stone is talking with Kam Hendrix. Kam laments that he still hasn't been medically cleared to compete. In fact, he estimates that his knee is only 67.2% recovered. Tavion Heights and Myles Borne arrive to ask the General Manager for an opportunity at the NXT Tag Team Championships. Annoyed, Kam points out that Borne should be defending his North American Championship instead. Myles promises Stone that he'll defend his title next week if he's granted a shot at the tag team titles in return. Stone likes the idea, but he needs to find him an opponent. Myles had Hendrix in mind, but he still seems injured. Suddenly, Kam says his phone is vibrating. He pulls it out and sees that, "coincidentally," he has received a message from the NXT medical team informing him that he has officially been medically cleared. In fact, he's now operating at 107.6%. Stone guarantees him the match once he confirms the information with the medical staff. If it happens, Myles and Tavion will also get their shot at The Vanity Project in two weeks. Heights and Borne celebrate as the segment comes to an end.

We see a brief teaser video starring Reina Volcan, who will make her in-ring debut next.

Winner by submission: Reina Volcan

Robert Stone is about to enjoy some KFC popcorn chicken when he notices the ominous presence of Shiloh Hill. The General Manager offers him some, but quickly remembers he just got a new tooth. Since it came from Danhausen, Stone wonders if Hill is cursed. "I'm not cursed. I usually let the energy in the room decide when it's time to let it out. But with Tristan Angels... he tried to humiliate me. Now revenge consumes me. The fog is closing in on Tristan, and he must be sacrificed. Do you understand?" an intimidating Shiloh asks Robert as he steps closer. Robert assures him that he understands. That's why he offers him a match against the Brit next week. Shiloh immediately returns to his cheerful demeanor, shakes the General Manager's hand, and thanks him for the decision. However, all of this has made him hungry, so he grabs every bucket of KFC popcorn chicken. "I was really looking forward to that popcorn chicken," a resigned Stone says as the segment ends.

A car arrives at the arena. The rear door opens just as the segment comes to an end.

D'Angelo hands the title to the referee, interrupting Mike Rome's introductions and forcing him to immediately leave the ring to avoid the crossfire. D'Angelo catches his opponent on another charge and drives him straight through the crowd barricade, destroying it in the process. The champion keeps attacking Naraku as he drags him toward the Gorilla Position. Tony shoves his opponent into Shawn Michaels' chair. Michaels quickly gets out of the way to avoid being run over. Matt Bloom orders D'Angelo to leave the area. "Shut up!" the champion replies.

The referee tells Tony to bring the action back to the ring. D'Angelo reminds him that this is a Street Fight. Naraku capitalizes on the moment by trapping Tony in a crossface using a cable. The Japanese wrestler strikes Tony across the back while dragging him toward the entrance ramp. Naraku pauses long enough to pick up a spotlight and smash it across D'Angelo's back. The two men battle on the ramp, each trying to hit a suplex. Tony eventually wins the exchange.

The champion brings Naraku back into the ring. The Japanese wrestler grabs a kendo stick and dares his opponent to come after him. D'Angelo reaches into the opening of the steel steps and pulls out a steel crowbar. Tony destroys Naraku's kendo stick, causing the challenger to beg for mercy. Naraku retreats to ringside. D'Angelo follows with the crowbar in hand. This time, Naraku ducks, causing the crowbar to become lodged in a wall. The Japanese wrestler takes advantage, attacking the champion and sending him into one of the ring posts.

Naraku rolls his opponent back into the ring before pulling a ladder out from underneath it. As he tries to slide it inside, a recovered Tony grabs it and hurls it straight into the Japanese wrestler's head. The champion then retrieves a table from under the ring and sets it up inside.
