Tubi has aired episode 70 of WWE Evolve early this morning, the new show starring the developing talent of the company. The matches of the show were recorded a few weeks ago at the WWE Performance Center. The episode featured four matches and several segments, highlighting Nikkita Lyons' victory over Laynie Luck to retain the WWE Evolve Women's Championship in the main event.
In this news, we will provide the quick results of the show and the full video of the event.
- Nikkita Lyons had a brief conversation with Sloane Jacobs about her first title defense as WWE Evolve Champion. "Tonight will be a lesson in karma. We ruined Laynie Luck's little title match. She ruined my title celebration. And now the cosmos has balanced out, because the Universe has given us a chance to ensure that my divine feline reign has a proper beginning," Nikkita said.
- Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov defeated Cappuccino Jones and Marcus Mathers in a tag team match.
- Layla Diggs, Zena Sterling, and Anya Rune wished luck to Laynie Luck for her title match against Nikkita Lyons.
- Dorian Van Dux vs. Sam Holloway ended in a double count out.
- Tate Wilder delivered a promo directed at Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins, who are still determined to get revenge on him for leaving Team ID. That's why he has asked Robert Stone to allow him to return to Evolve next week to face Riggins again and put an end to this story once and for all. "So get ready, playboy. Beating you up is the only thrill I seek," he said to conclude his promo.
- Harlem Lewis held a celebration as the new WWE Evolve Champion. Lewis recounted his journey in the company and all the hard work he had to endure to win the title. "Welcome to the Harlem Violence World Tour!" he exclaimed to end his promo. Aaron Rourke appeared on the scene to congratulate Lewis on his victory. However, their rivalry was not over yet. "You may be champion now, but you are not invincible," said the former WWE Evolve Champion. He reminded Harlem that he was entitled to a rematch. So, why not do it right then and there? Before Lewis could respond, Tristan Angels interrupted the segment. "Mister England" advised Rourke to accept that he is a mediocre wrestler and step aside. As for Harlem, he advised him not to get too comfortable wearing a belt that would soon be in his possession. Max Abrams joined the group to mock them all. Abrams congratulated Harlem on being the new champion (for now), before stating that it was time for The Mog Squad to snatch the gold from him. Tired of the situation, Rourke and Lewis attacked Abrams and Angels to drive them out of the ring. Finally, Harlem delivered a clothesline to Aaron before sending a message to Timothy Thatcher, asking him to list all his rivals so he could take them down one by one.
- It's Gal approached Kylee Quinn and Kale Dixon while they were doing a new photo shoot to propose a collaboration for a swimsuit calendar. Dixon rejected the offer to suggest an individual match instead and add another victory to his record. "I just wanted to make friends," It's Gal said after being left alone.
- Brooks Jensen defeated Elijah Holyfield after rolling him up with the help of the ropes.
- The Unknown starred in a new cryptic video.
- Nikkita Lyons (with Sloane Jacobs) defeated Laynie Luck to retain the WWE Evolve Women's Championship in the main event. Lyons applied a Throat Chakra for the victory. PJ Vasa stormed the ring to attack Luck after the match. Vasa was about to launch an assault with a metal chair when Thea Hail, Wren Sinclair, and Skylar Raye appeared on the scene. The three women ran to the ring to get rid of the heels. Timothy Thatcher appeared to restore order, announcing that next week they would all face off in a tag team match.
