Since All Elite Wrestling burst into the professional wrestling business, the movement of talents between Tony Khan's company and WWE has become a common occurrence. In fact, some AEW stars have been able to fulfill their dream of working for WWE, as is the case with Blake Monroe (Mariah May) and Ricky Saints (Ricky Starkz).
One of the most recent signings by the Endeavor-owned company has been Royce Keys (previously known as Powerhouse House), who in a recent interview for 107.7 The Bone was asked about the reasons that led him to leave Tony Khan's company to sign with WWE.
"Many. There are many personal reasons that I'm not going to talk about. But the dream has always been to be a WWE superstar. It's what I dreamed of since I was a kid, and I don't want to spend my life wondering 'what if...?'. What if I had done this? What if I had gone? What if I hadn't gone? There was not a single second of doubt when the opportunity to sign that contract arose. If you look at what WWE represents, it is the ultimate reference in professional wrestling and sports entertainment. So, why wouldn't I want to go?" Keys responded.
The wrestler worked for AEW practically since its inception in 2020, so his departure separated him from the colleagues and friends he had in the company. In this regard, Keys was asked how difficult it was for him to say goodbye to what had been his home for so long.
"This is a business. You will always have friends you will stay in touch with and also acquaintances, but this is a business. I have to do what's best for Royce Keys. And what was best for Royce was to go to WWE," the wrestler replied.
Keys debuted at the Royal Rumble 2026 as one of the surprises of the event. Later, he was officially added to the SmackDown roster, where he won the traditional Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy. He has recently been involved in the rivalry between Solo Sikoa and LA Knight against The Bloodline.
