Bayley has not yet closed her story with Lyra Valkyria. Although it was thought that their match on Saturday Night's Main Event had served as the conclusion of the angle, Bayley appeared this Saturday at the WWE live event held at the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, California.
There, she attacked Valkyria and then participated in a triple threat match for the Women's Intercontinental Championship alongside champion Sol Ruca. According to reports from fans in attendance, Ruca managed to retain the title.
This appearance once again leaves the door open for WWE to continue stretching the rivalry between Bayley and Valkyria. In fact, on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer pointed out that the end of the story did not seem definitive and that Valkyria herself has hinted that the conflict may continue in the coming weeks.
Bayley's appearance comes amid a series of reports indicating a possible departure by the end of the year. According to the latest reports, the former women's champion will end her contract around that time.
