KJ Orso, known in AEW as Fuego Del Sol, has appeared at the WWE tryout in Minnesota and joins the list of talents that the company is evaluating this week. His name was not on the initial list of participants, but Fightful Select confirmed that he is already on campus and taking part in the tests.
Orso is a wrestler that many fans associate with his masked stage in AEW, where he was a regular on the programming before deciding to leave the company. Since then, he has ditched the mask, adopted the name KJ Orso, and rebuilt his image on the independent circuit, especially in GCW, trying to distance himself from the Fuego character.
Although his relationship with AEW did not completely break, with subsequent appearances in AEW and ROH, he stopped working for them before launching his rebranding as Orso. Now he crosses paths with WWE again six years after his television debut on Raw, when in 2020 he was used as talent in a squash match against Erick Rowan.
This tryout does not guarantee a contract, but the fact that WWE has invited him suggests that they have real plans to evaluate him for a possible signing. Orso has gone from being an extra in WWE to becoming a regular in AEW and a standout in the independent scene, and now he has the opportunity to take another turn in his career.
