Tonight a new edition of WWE SummerSlam is being celebrated, an event that, on its first day, presents six matches, including three title matches. Noteworthy is the match that will see CM Punk facing Cody Rhodes with the WWE Undisputed Championship on the line. Solowrestling will provide live coverage that you can follow in this article. Women's World Championship Match
Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY
IYO and Liv struggle, taking the action to one of the corners. Morgan takes down SKY before unleashing a flurry of attacks on her back. Liv throws her opponent against one of the corners to taunt her. IYO responds with a direct knee to the stomach. The Japanese continues kicking Morgan, applying a double knee with a Pendulum. SKY keeps attacking the champion, who ends up outside the ring.
IYO goes after her opponent. The Japanese asks the fans for help to climb the barrier. Furious, Liv grabs her legs to make her fall. Morgan throws IYO against the barrier before bringing her back to the ring. Liv executes a dropkick and then unleashes a flurry of attacks in one of the corners. The referee (Jessika Carr) has to intervene. Liv yells at the official before going after her opponent again, applying The Three Amigos. Morgan finishes her with an enzuigiri. 1..2..NO.
Liv crushes IYO in one of the corners before hitting her with a knee strike. SKY stops the champion's next attack to deliver a double footstomp. IYO continues to hit Morgan. SKY damages Liv's right arm with the ropes before launching a Missile Dropkick. IYO continues with a running meteora, followed by a sunset flip powerbomb directly onto the floor at ringside. "IYO, IYO!" chant the fans.
SKY brings the champion back into the ring to look for her finisher, at which point Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez enter the scene. Roxy distracts the referee so that Raquel can push IYO onto the mat. Liv covers the Japanese. 1..2..NO. The Texans try to intervene once again, but SKY throws them at her partner. IYO performs a moonsault on her enemies, landing on Raquel and Roxanne. The Japanese looks for the champion, but she is already in the ring. SKY returns, only to be surprised with a hurricanrana. SKY's head hits the mat.
Morgan climbs to the top turnbuckle. Her opponent quickly follows. IYO executes a Spanish Fly! Both women lie on the mat. "This is amazing!" chant the fans. IYO and Morgan exchange attacks in the center of the ring. SKY performs a facebuster, followed by a backbreaker. Liv seeks refuge in one of the corners. Morgan dodges a running meteora to go for an ObLIVion, but the Japanese blocks it. SKY executes a spinning neckbreaker, followed by an ObLIVion! 1..2..NO.
IYO goes for her Over the Moonsault. Morgan dodges it to respond with a diving facebreaker. 1..2..NO. IYO avoids an ObLIVion to counter with a german suplex on the apron. SKY continues with a tremendous running meteora that hits Liv's face and the ring post. As a result, IYO also hurts her knees. SKY looks for height to execute a new Over the Moonsault. Liv stops the attack with her knees to respond with the ObLIVion, but IYO avoids the impact with her agility! Morgan quickly stands up to surprise the Japanese with a facebreaker. She then finishes her off with the ObLIVion. 1..2..3.

Tag Team Match
The Bloodline (Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Jacob Fatu) vs. LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, and Royce Keys
LA Knight, Sikoa, and Keys storm the ring to launch the attack. The referee rings the bell. Gradually, the participants fall to ringside. Jey and Solo are the last men in the ring. Sikoa stops a flurry of attacks from Jey (in pure Rikishi style) to respond in the same way. After taking down Jey, Solo asks production to play his older brother's theme music. Sikoa taunts him with the fans. "Solo, Solo!" chants the audience.
Jacob receives the tag, only to receive a Samoan Drop from Sikoa. He poses for the fans without realizing his opponent has recovered. "The Samoan Werewolf" responds with a superkick, followed by a Samoan Drop and a senton. Fatu continues to punish Solo, this time with the help of the ropes. Jacob takes turns with The Usos to hit Sikoa. Fatu performs a Running Hip Attack on Sikoa. 1..2..NO.
Jacob surprises LA Knight with a superkick to make him fall to ringside. Solo and Fatu knock each other down with a simultaneous clothesline. Both men crawl to their respective corners to tag in Keys and Jimmy. Royce enters with force to hit Jimmy, to whom he applies a bodyslam. Jey enters the ring, only to receive a spinebuster. Jacob tries to return, but Royce prevents it. Jimmy takes advantage of his opponent's distraction to unleash a flurry of superkicks.
Jimmy looks for height in one of the corners. Keys goes after him to perform a spinning powerslam from the second rope. Both men lie on the mat. Royce and Jimmy head to their corners to tag in LA Knight and Jey, respectively. LA Knight executes a powerslam on Jey before hitting him with an elbowdrop. Meanwhile, he prevents Jimmy and Jacob from returning. Jey blocks a Blunt Force Trauma to respond with a spear. 1..2..NO.
Jey looks for height. LA Knight goes after him to perform a superplex. Jimmy quickly jumps with a Uso Splash on LA Knight. Solo surprises Jimmy with a Spinning Solo. Sikoa taunts with a yeet, a moment that Fatu takes advantage of to surprise him with an Impaler DDT. "The Samoan Werewolf" turns to face Royce, who hits him with a spinebuster. Both men take their particular fight to ringside.
Jacob charges at Royce. He stops him to look for a scoop powerslam, causing both to fall over the audience barrier. Meanwhile, Jey surprises LA Knight with a spear. Jimmy finishes him off with a Uso Splash. 1..2..NO. The Usos prepare to apply the 1D, a moment when Solo surprises Jimmy with a Samoan Spike from the apron. Jey tries to get his revenge, but Sikoa quickly gets off the apron. LA Knight takes advantage of Jey's distraction to surprise him with a Blunt Force Trauma. 1..2..3.

Nick Aldis vs. Gunther
Both men test their strength in an initial grappling phase. Gunther traps Nick in a headlock. Aldis frees himself, at which point Gunther heads to ringside. The Austrian climbs onto the commentator's table to taunt his opponent. Gunther returns to the ring to corner Aldis in the corner. Gunther chops him, enraging his opponent.
Aldis traps Gunther to apply a suplex. 1..2..NO. Nick looks for height in one of the corners. The Austrian makes him fall with a tremendous chop. Gunther goes after his opponent to throw him against one of the posts. Gunther approaches Mickie James (Nick's wife) and his son to indicate that they should have convinced him not to face him. Gunther brings Aldis back into the ring to continue his punishment.
Nick tries to recover, at which point Gunther surprises him with a sleeperhold. Aldis rushes towards one of the corners to free himself. Gunther surprises his opponent with a clothesline. After that, he looks for height in one of the corners. Aldis quickly runs towards him to execute a superplex. "You still have it!" chant the fans. Nick and Gunther exchange clotheslines. The Brit catches "The Ring General" to execute a running powerslam.
The action continues. Aldis dodges a big boot to respond with a new powerslam. Nick continues with two consecutive diving elbowdrops before applying a King's Lynn Cloverleaf. Gunther crawls to the ropes to force his release. "You still have it!" chant the fans once again. Gunther tries to surprise Nick with a sleeperhold. Aldis escapes the hold to apply his own sleeperhold.
Gunther frees himself with a Saito Suplex. Then, he traps Nick to execute a powerbomb. Gunther catches Aldis again in a sleeperhold. The Austrian keeps Nick trapped as he takes him to the mat. Aldis begins to weaken, and finally decides to surrender.
Winner by submission: Gunther
A tired Gunther acknowledges that it has been a tougher match than expected. After that, he heads backstage. The Austrian celebrates his victory at the top of the entrance ramp before continuing his path. We return to the ring. The fans stand up to applaud Aldis. His wife and son join him in the ring. "You still have it!" chant the audience once again. And so we reach the end of this segment.
We see Michael Chandler, Zac Brown, Kendra Scott, and the hosts of Busted Open Radio in the front row.
Tag Team Match
Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid, and Fallon Henley) vs. The Bella Twins (Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, and Paige)
Henley and Brie start the match. Fallon dodges Brie's first attack to respond with a right hand. Furious, Brie hits Fallon with a Russian Leg Sweep before knocking her down. Brie kicks Henley repeatedly. The fans chant "Yes!" with each impact. Jacy and Lainey enter the ring, but Nikki and Paige quickly take care of them.
The action continues. Brie looks for height in one of the corners. From that position, she attacks Fallon, who quickly approaches the referee pretending a nose injury. Jacy takes advantage of this to make Brie fall. Lainey continues the assault on the WWE Hall of Famer by crushing her hand on the metal stairs. Jayne finishes her off with a cannonball.
Jacy brings Brie back into the ring to execute a senton. 1..2..NO. Jayne crushes Brie in her corner before giving the tag to Lainey. She repeats her partner's move before covering her opponent. 1..2..NO. Reid approaches her opponents' corner to surprise Paige with a right hand. Nikki stares down Lainey, a moment when she is surprised by Brie.
Brie tags her sister, who enters the action to take care of all her opponents. Nikki performs a faceplant on Reid. 1..2..NO. Nikki tries to apply a Rack Attack 2.0 on Lainey, but her partners prevent it. Paige makes Lainey fall to ringside before jumping on her with an apron cannonball. With the path clear, Nikki can finally execute her Rack Attack 2.0 on Reid. 1..2..NO. Jayne interrupts the count.
The match descends into chaos. Brie surprises Jacy with a right hand before joining her sister. Both prepare to execute a combined attack on Lainey, but Fallon prevents it by pulling Brie out of the ring. The distraction allows Lainey to surprise Nikki with a running knee strike. Henley and Reid execute their combined finisher on Nikki. Fallon covers her. 1..2..NO. Paige interrupts the count.
The match descends into chaos. Henley performs a faceplant on Brie before both fall with a simultaneous right hand on Nikki. Jacy receives the tag. Jayne charges at Nikki, but Paige protects her. The British wrestler starts an offensive, a moment when Fallon tries to grab her legs from ringside. The distraction allows Jayne to surprise Paige with the Rolling Encore. 1..2..3.

Fatal Influence celebrates their victory on the entrance ramp. Meanwhile, The Bella Twins hug Paige, still stunned by the defeat. Suddenly, Nikki hits her with a right hand! The Bella Twins attack the British wrestler under intense booing. Nikki catches Paige to apply a Rack Attack 2.0. Then, she goes directly to the camera to remind us that she is back. Nikki and Brie pose over their victim before leaving the ring. Nikki addresses the camera again to make it clear that she won't let anyone take her place. Meanwhile, a dejected Paige watches them lying on the mat.
WWE Undisputed Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
Both men observe each other before starting the match. CM Punk corners Rhodes in one of the corners. CM Punk separates from him, but not before hitting his chest. Cody returns the favor, raising the tension of the moment. CM Punk kicks Cody's left arm to focus his punishment on that limb. Rhodes surprises CM Punk with a headlock. "The Best in the World" reaches the ropes to force his release. Then, he applies a chop to his rival.
CM Punk goes right back to targeting Cody's injured arm. The champion takes his opponent down and unleashes a relentless attack. CM Punk once again traps Rhodes' damaged arm. Cody throws himself toward the ropes to send his rival out of the ring. Cody launches himself at the champion with a suicide dive. Rhodes shoves CM Punk, sending him crashing over the crowd barricade.
CM Punk catches Cody with a right hand before launching a diving clothesline from the top of the barricade. CM Punk brings him back inside the ring to continue the assault. CM Punk connects with a suplex. Cody escapes the champion's grasp and catches him with a Drop Down Punch. CM Punk answers with a dropkick, but injures his left leg in the process.
CM Punk surprises Cody with a running knee strike. Rhodes notices his opponent's leg troubles and begins targeting the knee. Cody applies a painful Dragon Screw before repeatedly kicking the champion's injured leg. Rhodes drags CM Punk into one of the corners to continue his offense. Cody follows up with another Dragon Screw.
CM Punk escapes one of Cody's holds. Rhodes charges with a Disaster Kick, but his rival stops him with a dropkick. CM Punk plants his opponent with a powerslam before climbing to the top turnbuckle. Cody follows him and lands several strikes. CM Punk knocks him off before connecting with a diving elbowdrop. 1..2..NO. CM Punk sets up for the GTS, but a flurry of elbows stops him. Rhodes hits a Cody Cutter. 1..2..NO.
Cody headbutts CM Punk's injured leg before landing a Disaster Kick. 1..2..NO. Rhodes pulls down the champion's knee pad before delivering a top-rope Cody Cutter. 1..2..NO. The challenger sets up for the Cross Rhodes, but CM Punk blocks it. Cody counters the GTS into a Figure Four Leglock. CM Punk screams in pain. "The Best in the World" rolls over, reversing the pressure onto Cody's legs, forcing Rhodes to quickly grab the ropes for the break.
Cody tries to lock in the Figure Four Leglock once again, but CM Punk blocks it and counters with an Anaconda Vise. Rhodes stretches out a leg to reach the ropes and force the break. CM Punk traps the challenger in one of the corners, repeatedly kicking him. CM Punk looks for the GTS, but Cody grabs the top rope to avoid it.
Cody attempts an Alabama Slam, but CM Punk blocks it and locks in another Anaconda Vise. Rhodes escapes the submission and delivers a Cross Rhodes. 1..2..NO. The action moves to the top turnbuckle. CM Punk sends Cody crashing down before attempting a moonsault. The champion lands on top of the challenger's head. 1...2...NO.
CM Punk levels Cody with a lariat. 1..2..NO. CM Punk hoists Rhodes up and connects with a GTS. A battered "The Best in the World" crawls over to make the cover. 1..2..NO. Rhodes rolls out to ringside. CM Punk follows him and smashes his head off the Spanish announce table. CM Punk climbs onto the table, but Cody knocks him down. The two men struggle for position. Cody shoves CM Punk into the steel steps.
Rhodes clears off the English announce table. He then brings CM Punk back into the ring. However, the moment Cody steps through the ropes, CM Punk catches him with a GTS. 1..2..NO. Cody escapes to ringside once again. CM Punk follows him and places him on top of the English announce table. A contemplative CM Punk looks toward the nearest ring post. The fans erupt, knowing exactly what's coming next.
CM Punk climbs the post and leaps with a diving elbowdrop! Rhodes moves out of the way just in time, causing the champion to crash through the announce table, destroying it. Cody rolls "The Best in the World" back into the ring and charges with a Cody Cutter. CM Punk avoids it at the last second, causing Cody's finisher to hit the referee instead, leaving the official down and out.
CM Punk connects with a GTS on Rhodes. Cody rebounds off the ropes and falls back onto the champion's shoulders as CM Punk prepares to hit the move again. However, Cody slips free and delivers a Cross Rhodes. CM Punk tumbles out to ringside. Suddenly, Randy Orton appears out of nowhere and drops Cody with an RKO!
"The Viper" quickly leaves the scene. An exhausted CM Punk makes his way back into the ring. The referee, still dazed and in pain, also returns to the squared circle. CM Punk grabs Cody and hits another GTS. The official crawls into position to make the three-count. 1........2.........3.

Hell in a Cell Match
Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Oba Femi
The Cell lowers around the ring. The referee calls for the bell, and Oba immediately goes on the attack. The Nigerian repeatedly hammers away at "The Beast," trapping him in one of the corners. Lesnar cuts off his opponent's offense and answers with three consecutive release German suplexes. Femi quickly gets back to his feet and sends Brock to the outside with a clothesline. The fight spills to ringside. Lesnar catches Oba by surprise, throwing him into the steel steps.
Oba blocks a suplex and delivers one of his own, damaging his opponent's back. He then hurls Brock into the steel steps. Heyman checks on his client. Femi props a table against the Cell wall. He then grabs Brock and launches him through it. The table explodes on impact. Oba tosses the top half of the steel steps, along with several chairs, into the ring before bringing Lesnar back inside.
However, as soon as they return, "The Ruler" is caught off guard as his rival repeatedly smashes him over the head with the steel steps. Brock follows up with two release German suplexes before cracking a steel chair across Oba's back. Lesnar delivers two suplexes, the second driving Femi onto two steel chairs. Oba blocks an F5 and counters with a chokeslam. Both men collapse to the mat.
Oba continues the assault, planting Lesnar with a second chokeslam. Femi launches "The Beast" into the air before finishing him with Fall From Grace. 1..2..NO. Brock sits up laughing—a nod to his match against The Undertaker. He then kicks Oba away before delivering an F5. Femi gets back to his feet, only to eat another F5. Oba struggles up once more. Lesnar connects with a third F5. 1..2..NO. Brock can't believe it.
Lesnar grabs one of the chairs and unloads with repeated shots to "The Ruler's" back. Brock tears up the ring canvas and the padding underneath, exposing the wooden boards. Lesnar delivers a Tombstone Piledriver onto the exposed wood! 1..2..NO. The fans erupt. Oba rises to his feet. Brock swings a chair at him, but Femi stops him with a right hand. "The Ruler" hoists Lesnar up and delivers a Fall From Grace. 1..2..3.
Winner: Oba Femi
Femi poses in the middle of the ring while Brock and Heyman watch from the entrance ramp. "The Beast" and "The Ruler" lock eyes. Lesnar heads back into the ring and embraces his opponent. Brock raises Femi's arm to a thunderous ovation before asking for a microphone. Lesnar tells the Minnesota crowd—and everyone watching at home—to pay close attention. "The Beast" asks Oba not to leave. Lesnar approaches the Nigerian and delivers a clear message. "This is the future of WWE. Congratulations," Brock says as he shakes Femi's hand. "This is the future, ladies and gentlemen. This is the past," he says while pointing to himself. "This is the future," he adds, pointing at Femi. "The Beast" raises Oba's hand one final time before leaving the ring. Femi resumes his celebration as the show comes to a close.
