After a historic edition in Saudi Arabia, Royal Rumble will return to be held on American soil. The first major WWE PLE event of 2027 will take place at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, as the company announced this afternoon in an official statement.

"TKO Group Holdings, Inc., Arizona Sports & Events Alliance, and Legends Global announced today that UFC Night, WWE Royal Rumble, and the PBR World Finals: Championship will be held in Glendale, between the Desert Diamond Arena and the State Farm Stadium, becoming the first confirmed events within the multi-year collaboration agreement that the organizations announced last May.

The agreement includes a total of seven events spread over three years and marks TKO's first alliance with a state organization that encompasses UFC, WWE, PBR, and Zuffa Boxing, bringing some of the company's most important live sports and entertainment properties to one of the country's main destinations for hosting major events."

"Arizona is proud to be the first state to establish this type of alliance with TKO, a reflection of our commitment to innovative collaborations that generate lasting economic opportunities," said Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs. "From hosting top-level sporting events to attracting leading companies and investments, Arizona continues to demonstrate that we know how to do great things and do them well. We are delighted to collaborate with TKO to offer lasting benefits to the residents of Arizona, driving economic growth, creating opportunities, and showcasing everything our state has to offer."

"Arizona is a premier destination for hosting major live events, and Glendale offers us two exceptional venues in the State Farm Stadium and the Desert Diamond Arena," noted Peter Dropick, Executive Vice President of Development and Event Operations at TKO. "We look forward to working alongside the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance and Legends Global to provide fans throughout the state with a top-notch lineup featuring UFC, WWE, and PBR."

"TKO's globally recognized brands have an extraordinary ability to bring together passionate fans from around the world through major live events and their media platforms," declared Jay Parry, President and CEO of the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance. "Over the next three years, hundreds of thousands of visitors will travel to Arizona to attend these iconic events, representing an exceptional opportunity to showcase our communities and reinforce Arizona's reputation as a top-tier destination for sports and entertainment, as well as solidifying it as a dynamic center for business and innovation."

"As part of this unprecedented alliance, the Desert Diamond Arena and the State Farm Stadium will host some of the most important nights in sports and entertainment over the next years," explained Josh Kritzler, President of North American Venues & Content at Legends Global, the company responsible for operating both venues. "Our goal is to ensure that every fan who walks through our doors enjoys an experience worthy of these world-class events. We look forward to working with TKO and the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance to make that promise a reality."

This will be the third edition of the Royal Rumble to be held in the state of Arizona. The two previous ones took place at the US Airways Center and Chase Field in Phoenix in 2013 and 2019 respectively. The State Farm Stadium has a capacity for 63,400 spectators, with the possibility of exceeding 70,000 if necessary

As is tradition, the Royal Rumble will mark the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania, which this time will take place in Saudi Arabia. So far, the company has not announced a date for the show, although it is expected to take place in January, as usual.
