The CW and Netflix will air a new episode of WWE NXT tonight, with Vic Joseph and Booker T at the commentary table, live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature several matches and segments of interest, including an NXT Underground Match where Kendal Grey will defend the Women's Championship against Lola Vice.
Additionally, Wren Sinclair will defend the WWE Women's Speed Championship against Zaria in a match where a shot at the Australian's North American Title will also be on the line. Finally, The Vanity Project will defend the NXT Tag Team Championships against Myles Borne and Tavion Heights. As always, we invite you to comment on the post to give your opinion on what happened on the show.

Tag Team Match
Jaida Parker and Thea Hail vs. Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic (with Nattie)
Jaida and Karmen start the fight. Petrovic traps Parker in a headlock on the mat. Jaida frees herself to take down her opponent with a shoulder tackle. Thea receives the tag to execute a powerslam on Petrovic. After that, she receives assistance from Parker to perform a splash. 1..2..NO. Karmen surprises Hail with a superkick before carrying her to her corner. Nikkita receives the tag. The WWE Evolve Champion teams up with Petrovic. She takes down Thea with a sweeping kick for Lyons to finish her off with a downward kick. 1..2..NO.
Nikkita traps Hail in a submission hold on the mat. Thea manages to stand up, but her opponent doesn't release her. Karmen enters to help her partner, but Hail escapes from both to give the tag to Jaida. She and Thea throw their opponents out of the ring before launching themselves against them. Parker tries to execute a Running Hip Attack on Petrovic, but she dodges it, causing her rival to hit the metal stairs.
Thea brings Nikkita back into the ring. Meanwhile, the referee tries to check on Jaida's condition. Nattie takes advantage to attack Hail from behind. The Canadian brings Thea back into the ring, where Lyons applies a powerbomb. 1..2..NO. Nikkita and Karmen take turns punishing Hail. Lyons traps Thea in a submission hold on the mat. Hail fights desperately to reach her corner, but Nikkita prevents her with a clothesline.
Thea continues to battle against her two opponents, whom she finally manages to leave behind to give the tag to Jaida. She enters with full force, taking care of both rivals at the same time. Parker prepares to execute The Silencer on Petrovic, but Nattie intervenes just in time to put her partner safe on ringside. Karmen returns to surprise Jaida with a slingblade. After that, she executes a clothesline + spinebuster combo with Lyons. The latter covers Parker. 1..2..NO. Thea interrupts the count.
Hail and Petrovic knock each other out at ringside. Meanwhile, Jaida surprises Lyons with a roll-up. 1..2..NO. Nikkita pushes Jaida against the ropes. Nattie tries to get on the apron, but Parker prevents her with a hip attack. Jaida executes The Silencer on Lyons before giving the tag to Thea. Jaida dodges a kick from Petrovic to knock her out with a right hand. Meanwhile, Hail finishes off Nikkita with The Boing. 1..2..3.
Winners: Jaida Parker and Thea Hail
Lyons, Petrovic, and Nattie launch an assault on Parker and Hail. Nikkita immobilizes Thea so that Nattie can hit her. However, the former North American champion ducks just in time for the Canadian's fist to hit her own partner's face. Hail gets rid of Nattie with a headbutt. Thea and a recovered Parker join forces to expel Nikkita and Karmen from the ring, who quickly regroup with their leader on the entrance ramp. And so we reach the end of this segment.
We move to the men's locker room, where Tavion Heights and Myles Borne are. Visibly restless, Heights hopes that Borne is fully focused on his title match tonight. Borne assures him that he has nothing to worry about. He is ready to become a double NXT champion and to see his great friend - and brother - win his first championship in the company. Tavion points out that this is exactly what he needed to hear. Heights confesses that if he loses tonight, he won't know what to do next. Myles asks his partner to relax, as tonight they will become the new NXT Tag Team Champions. Encouraged, both men high-five and hug to end this segment.
Tony D'Angelo makes his way to the ring. Tony recalls what happened last week with Grayson Waller, who burst into NXT to disrespect everyone. D'Angelo makes it clear that he will not allow the Australian to use the NXT Championship as a stepping stone to return triumphantly to the main roster, much less allow him to continue insulting the brand without consequences. On the other hand, Cruz Montana also shared his intentions regarding his goals as a new NXT talent. That's why he invites him to meet him in the ring to continue the conversation that the idiot Waller interrupted last week.
Grayson Waller interrupts Tony's promo from the balcony in the stands. Grayson knows what will come next: a boring talk about D'Angelo and Montana's origins and how tough it was to grow up on the streets. However, Tony should pay more attention to the Australian, as he is the one who generates the most interest - and money. D'Angelo, for his part, proposes that he come down to the ring. "We can talk man to man, but I know you won't because you're a coward", says the NXT Champion.
Tony wants to offer the fans a little history lesson. He goes back to the 2.0 era of NXT, where he was part of a group of talents that also included Waller himself, Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, and Trick Williams. They were all NXT champions... except Grayson. D'Angelo asks Waller to be honest with himself. If he has returned to NXT, it's because he wants to win the championship to be relevant once again. "Unfortunately for you, I am the champion", says Tony. Waller congratulates D'Angelo on his promo, which he probably prepared in advance. That said, he claims that in the last week, he has become the most relevant person in NXT. The one everyone is talking about. What has Tony done this week, besides attending to his family? Nothing. At least, he has the energy to come out on stage. Not like the rest of the softies on the roster, who spend all their time on their cell phones and social media.
Cruz Montana appears in the stands. Montana congratulates Grayson on his promo from last week. However, unlike him, he doesn't need a microphone to prove anything. It's his actions in the ring and his constant hard work that speak for him. Cruz understands that Waller has returned to NXT because his comfortable life doesn't satisfy him as much as he would like. A burden he has put on his own shoulders. Montana, on the other hand, carries a burden because he had no other choice. Cruz hopes that Waller never has to go through what he has gone through, that he never has to face a dark version of himself. Montana points out that he has spent years proving to everyone that he deserves to be in this place. Waller, on the other hand, has spent all that time trying to prove that he deserves more attention. Waller interrupts to ask him why he so desperately needs the approval of the public. Grayson knows Montana's story well and how he fought his demons. But he has decided to embrace his own, and he feels great. Cruz points out that Grayson fights for himself, and that won't get him anywhere. What makes you an unstoppable man is fighting for people who depend on you. Tony interrupts the conversation. "I don't care about your motivations. You both want the same thing: my title. Talk to Stone, have him schedule a match for a title shot, and I'll see the winner at Heatwave", says D'Angelo before leaving. And so we reach the end of this segment.
We move to the women's locker room, where Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey are. Restless, Wren keeps walking in circles while reviewing the game plan for tonight. Sinclair is worried about her title defense against Zaria. And not only that, but Grey will also have to defend her NXT Women's Championship against Lola Vice in an Underground Match. A fight in which Vice is a true master. Wren admits that maybe this is too much for them. Kendal stands up to reassure her partner. Grey reminds her that this is what they wanted: to be champions and feel the pressure that comes with it. Kendal reminds her partner that her match is up next, so she wishes her luck. Both fist bump. Sinclair heads to the ring to end the segment.
WWE Women's Speed Championship Match
Wren Sinclair (c) vs. Zaria
Zaria goes for a quick F5, but Wren reverses it into a roll-up. Sinclair traps Zaria in a headlock on the mat. The Australian stands up to throw her opponent against one of the corners. After that, she hits her with a dropkick. Wren dodges an elbow drop impact to respond with an armdrag. Zaria blocks another armdrag to take her opponent against one of the corners, where she hits her at will.
Wren recovers to surprise the Australian with a quick offensive. Sinclair keeps attacking Zaria, to whom she applies a hurricanrana. Wren seeks height on one of the corners to prepare her next attack, but Zaria makes her fall. The Australian starts a new offensive. Zaria takes down Sinclair before applying an elbow drop. The Australian punishes Wren in one of the corners, where she hits her with a big boot. 1..2..NO.
Sinclair kicks Zaria in the ropes. Both women struggle. As a result, Wren's face hits Zaria's neck. Both women lie on the mat, sore after the impact. Meanwhile, the clock keeps ticking. Sinclair and Zaria exchange attacks. Wren surprises Zaria with a faceplant. 1..2..NO.
We reach the last minute of the match. Zaria crushes Wren with a stomp before preparing her finisher, but the WWE Women's Speed Champion escapes her clutches. Sinclair applies a suplex. 1..2..NO. Wren seeks height to jump with a diving crossbody, but Zaria catches her in mid-air. The Australian charges at Wren. As a result, both end up at ringside. There are only 10 seconds left in the match. Zaria brings Sinclair back into the ring. Wren blocks an F5 to look for a Cattle Mutilation, just as the timer reaches zero.
Match Result: Draw (Wren Sinclair retains the championship)
Upset with the result, Zaria surprises Sinclair with a punch to then apply an F5. The Australian poses over her victim as the segment comes to an end.
We move backstage. Bronco Nima approaches Lucien Price to apologize for what happened last week. Nima acknowledges that he got distracted by what was happening at ringside, which led to his defeat against BirthRight. Price assures him that he has nothing to apologize for. He was simply attending to his own business related to AAA. So, as long as their relationship remains intact, everything will be fine. BirthRight appear on the scene. Once again, Lexis King tries to sow discord in OTM by pointing out that he was right about Nima's distancing. Tired, Lucien challenges him to a singles match. Uriah Connors reminds him that he must win a tournament to compete for the WWE Women's Speed Championship. Price, however, doesn't want to fight for the title. He just wants to face King in a singles match. "My brother has his plan B. I just found mine", says Lucien before leaving. Nima seems confused.
Grayson Waller meets Kelani Jordan backstage. Jordan agrees with the Australian's statements regarding the male roster. She, on the other hand, continues to try to get the opportunity that has been denied to her time and time again. But when she finally gets it, she will achieve something that Grayson was never able to accomplish. The Australian asks her what it is. "Winning the top championship on my first attempt", Jordan replies before leaving. "Kelani, don't miss," says a smiling Waller as a nod to Carmelo Hayes (Jordan's husband). Mason Rook approaches the Australian. "Hey, Grayson, you're calling us 'soft.' I moved from the other side of the world, just like you did. Meanwhile, I'm twice your size and can do things in that ring that you can only dream of. So, why don't we find out how soft I am?", he asks. Waller is about to respond, but Kam Hendrix bursts in to attack the Brit. Several officials have to intervene to separate them. Grayson, for his part, encourages them to keep fighting as he leaves the scene.
Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships
The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) (c) (with Jackson Drake and Myka Lockwood) vs. Myles Borne and Tavion Heights
Heights traps Smokes in a headlock on the mat. Ricky frees himself, only to be taken down again and again by his opponent. Myles receives the tag to continue the fight. Smokes asks for mercy from the North American Champion to be able to surprise him with a direct blow to the stomach. Ricky continues to attack Borne as he approaches his corner. Brad receives the tag, but soon falls into Myles' clutches. The champions take control once again.
Heights pushes Borne so he can apply a clothesline on Baylor. Tavion carries Brad on his shoulders for his next attack, but the champion escapes to push him against the ropes. Smokes takes advantage to surprise Heights with a Guillotine Rope. Baylor executes a knee strike on Tavion for Ricky to cover him. 1..2..NO. Heights escapes from his opponents to give the tag to Myles.
Borne surprises Brad with a spinning slam. 1..2..NO. Baylor pushes Myles against the ropes to regain control. The champions take turns punishing Borne. He surprises Smokes with a spinebuster. Myles is about to execute a Borne Again, but Drake grabs Ricky's arms so he can block the finisher. The champions take control again. Brad and Ricky apply a double slam on Myles. 1..2..NO.
Ricky and Brad punish Borne in their corner. The champions combine forces against Myles, who receives a knee drop from Smokes. Baylor covers him. 1..2..NO. Myles escapes from his rivals to give the tag to Tavion, who enters with everything. Heights faces both champions at the same time. Tavion knocks out Smokes with a clothesline. 1..2..NO. Heights and Myles apply a combo of dropkick + sit-out powerbomb on Ricky. 1..2..NO. Brad interrupts the count.
Myles expels Baylor from the ring, a moment that Smokes takes advantage of to surprise the former with a meteora. The Vanity Project apply a combo of dropkick + spinebuster on Borne. 1..2..NO. Heights interrupts the count. The four men fight at the same time. The challengers apply a parallel scoop powerslam on Smokes and Baylor.
Jackson gets on the apron to help his partners while Myka distracts the referee. However, he realizes the stratagem and immediately expels both from ringside. Meanwhile, Myles throws Smokes against Baylor before applying a Borne Again. The North American Champion expels Brad from the ring with a clothesline, leaving Tavion to finish off Ricky with a belly-to-belly. 1..2..3.
Winners and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions: Tavion Heights and Myles Borne
Heights and Borne celebrate with the championships by the crowd barricade as the segment comes to an end.
We see The Vanity Project making their way back to the backstage area. A furious Jackson Drake blames the referee for his teammates' defeat. The faction walks past Keanu Carver. Once again, a smiling Mika Lockwood stops beside him to observe him closely. "Maika! Let's go!" Jackson shouts. Lockwood follows her teammates while Keanu heads to the ring.
Izzi Dame and Niko Vance approach Lizzy Rain backstage. Izzi hopes the Brit is enjoying her big win from last week, pointing out that she owes it to Shawn Spears. Vance says he'll take care of his former partner. Dame insists the outcome of that match would have been completely different if Spears hadn't interfered. Rain believes Izzi is just looking for an excuse to justify her loss. "I think it's time you learned where you belong around here," a threatening Dame says as she gets in Rain's face. Spears arrives with his trademark steel chair to make the save. Shawn says he's heard they want to take him out, which is why he's already spoken to Robert Stone about it. Next week, he'll team up with Lizzy to take on members of The Culling. Niko makes it clear to Spears that he'll be ready for whatever he has planned. Vance and Dame leave the area. "Look, I don't trust you. If things go sideways next week, it'll turn into a three-on-one real fast," Lizzy tells Spears before walking away. "Smart girl," Shawn replies.
Keanu Carver vs. EK Prosper
Carver patiently waits for EK Prosper in the center of the ring. The two men lock up. Keanu backs EK Prosper into one of the corners. The referee orders him to back away, and Carver complies without hesitation. Keanu continues to dominate the match. EK Prosper avoids a charge into the corner and answers with an enzuigiri. He follows up with a moonsault. 1...2...NO.
EK Prosper catches Carver with a dropkick. Keanu returns the favor. Carver charges at EK Prosper, but Prosper lowers the ropes, sending him to ringside. Keanu tries to get back in, only to be met with another dropkick. EK Prosper launches himself at Carver, who catches him in midair. EK Prosper escapes by shoving his opponent into the announce table. Keanu stops himself just before crashing into Booker T. Carver apologizes to the WWE Hall of Famer. EK Prosper takes advantage of the distraction with another dropkick.
EK Prosper brings his opponent back into the ring and connects with a diving crossbody. 1...2...NO. Carver recovers and hoists his rival onto his shoulder. He then drives him into one of the turnbuckles before finishing him with a running powerslam. 1...2...NO. Keanu sends EK Prosper into the ropes before hitting a suplex followed by a backbreaker. Keanu traps his opponent in a headlock. EK Prosper escapes, only to be knocked down with a back elbow. 1...2...NO.
Carver applies another submission hold. EK Prosper escapes and unleashes a series of kicks. Keanu catches one of them and answers with a clothesline. He then locks in a crossface. EK Prosper counters with a jawbreaker. EK Prosper blocks a suplex with a Slumdog Millionaire. He follows with a superkick, then a tornado DDT. EK Prosper climbs to the top rope and delivers a beautiful diving neckbreaker. 1...2...NO.
Keanu and EK Prosper trade offense. Carver surprises him with a German suplex. 1...2...NO. Keanu lifts his opponent for a powerbomb. 1...2...NO. EK Prosper catches Carver with a roll-up. 1...2...NO. EK Prosper stops Carver's next attack with a dropkick before landing a Shining Wizard. He goes for a moonsault. Carver raises his knees, trying to catch him on the way down, but EK Prosper lands on his feet instead. EK Prosper attempts to grab his opponent's legs, allowing Carver to surprise him with a roll-up. 1...2...3.

Keanu pats EK Prosper on the arm to congratulate him on a great match before calmly leaving the ring.
Cutler James and Osiris Griffin are talking backstage. Both men regret that their partner, Dion Lennox, is still obsessed with going after Saquon Shugars (despite beating him two weeks ago), but it seems he still has something to prove. Lennox confronts his partners, saying their attitude is proving Grayson Waller right. Dion says DarkState shouldn't be satisfied with simply winning—they need to be untouchable. They used to be champions and the most feared group in the locker room, and now they need to remind everyone of that. "Next week, Saquon won't escape us. We'll make sure of it. Because when DarkState strikes, no one is safe," he says before fist-bumping his partners.
We see a video recorded and posted by Shiloh Hill on social media. Hill reveals that he suffered a fractured jaw during his match against Tristan Angels last week. It's an uncommon injury, but it will keep him out of action for a while. Speaking of unusual injuries, Shiloh believes Kam Hendrix lied about his knee injury because nobody can recover that quickly from the kind of injury he claimed to have. Since he hasn't been medically cleared to train, Hill admits he's been a little bored. That's why he's been researching the world of professional wrestling. Among the interesting facts he discovered are Kali Armstrong's world record, Pat Patterson becoming the first Intercontinental Champion in Brazil at an event with no known visual documentation, and the Texan origins of the "poison mist" made famous by many Japanese wrestlers.
We see a tribute video honoring the memory of Dory Funk Jr.
We head backstage, where Robert Stone is speaking with a "free agent" on the phone. Cruz Montana approaches the General Manager. Stone covers the phone to tell Montana he has what he wanted: next week he'll face Grayson Waller for an opportunity at the NXT Championship. Stone then walks away to continue his phone conversation. Tristan Angels approaches Montana and makes it clear he doesn't approve of people like him and Grayson Waller demanding title opportunities as soon as they arrive in NXT. Those opportunities aren't handed out—they have to be earned. Montana reminds him that he competed for the brand last year at The Great American Bash, ShowDown, and even at the Madison Square Garden event. However, he doesn't remember seeing the Brit back then. "How long have you been here?" Cruz asks. "About three months," Angels replies. "Three months... and I'm the new guy..." Cruz says before walking away.
NXT Women's Championship Underground Match
Kendal Grey (c) (w/Wren Sinclair) vs. Lola Vice
The two women begin with a feeling-out process. Kendal surprises Lola by grabbing one of her legs and taking her down to the mat. Vice rolls toward the edge of the ring but stops before falling to the floor. Kendal chooses to let her go. They return to the center of the ring to restart the action. Grey then shoves Vice out to ringside.
Kendal launches herself at Lola with a hurricanrana. Vice crashes into the announce table. Grey goes after her, but Lola catches her in a Guillotine Choke. Kendal escapes by driving her opponent into the steel steps. Grey climbs back into the ring and tries to kick the challenger from there, but Lola blocks the strike and sends the champion face-first into the steel steps. The champion begins bleeding from her right ear.
Grey tries to get back to her feet but appears disoriented and unable to stand properly. The medical team rushes out to check on her. Lola patiently waits in the ring while Kendal remains surrounded by doctors. We see Grey staring blankly ahead as they wipe the blood from her face. Kendal's head is bandaged. Suddenly, the champion has had enough. Grey loses her patience, finishes wrapping the bandage herself, and returns to the ring, where she avoids Lola's back fist and takes her down. Vice shoves her opponent away to escape. Kendal still appears disoriented. Lola kicks her to regain control.
Vice continues her assault before hitting a pair of Saito Suplexes. Kendal blocks a third and answers with a barrage of suplexes of her own. Suddenly, the champion's legs give out again. Lola drills her with a devastating knee strike to the face. Grey spins around before collapsing face-first onto the ringside floor. Vice brings Kendal back into the ring and attempts another kick, but the champion counters into an Ankle Lock. Vice escapes the hold and applies the same submission to her opponent.
Grey breaks free, leading to an exchange of offense. Lola unleashes a flurry of punches and kicks that ends with a pinpoint back fist. Grey tumbles toward ringside, but Hank Walker and Tank Ledger stop her fall and spring her back into the ring. Kendal immediately responds with a back fist of her own, leaving both women laid out on the mat.
Vice traps Kendal in a sleeper hold. Grey escapes and transitions into an armbar. Lola removes one of her gloves so she can slip her arm free. The champion goes for another back fist, but Lola ducks, and the referee takes the full impact instead. The official collapses to the mat. Vice locks in a sleeper hold on Kendal, who eventually loses consciousness.
Realizing the situation, Lola releases Grey and rushes over to revive the referee. Meanwhile, Wren checks on Kendal and tries to encourage her. Sinclair slaps her partner across the face to snap her back into it. Reenergized, Kendal gets to her feet and catches Lola with a superkick. Vice fires back with a perfectly placed spinning kick. Grey drops to the canvas. Lola dives on top of the champion and rains down punches. Kendal catches one of them and transitions into an armbar. Lola can't escape. Unable to endure the pain any longer, Vice taps out.

Lola and Kendal embrace in the center of the ring. Vice raises Grey's hand as a sign of respect. With that image, this week's show comes to a close.
