Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed Bayley's contractual situation on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Bayley has not wrestled for WWE since a house show on July 26 in Bakersfield, California. Her last televised match was a loss to Lyra Valkyria on July 18 at Saturday Night's Main Event at Madison Square Garden.
Meltzer confirmed that Bayley has not yet signed a new contract with WWE. "The only thing I've heard about Bayley is that she has a decision to make. That's the story. Bayley has a decision to make. She hasn't signed a contract," he explained.
The journalist added that her return to television will depend on that decision. "When she signs a contract, I'm sure she'll be back on television. If she doesn't sign, I think they'll do the same as Tony Khan: they don't always do it, but in her case, if she signs, she'll probably come back to attack Lyra and that will be her story. And if she doesn't sign, she won't come back and what happened at Madison Square Garden was her farewell," he pointed out.
A post by Bayley on Instagram on Monday increased speculation about her future. In a training video, she used a song titled "All In" and wrote "All or Nothing, baby," leading some fans to think she might be hinting at an appearance at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.
Mercedes Moné, a long-time rival and friend of Bayley, has also hinted at the possibility of Bayley joining her in AEW. Moné recently posted a fan-made poster featuring a hypothetical match between them at WrestleDream.
