The Mexican is enjoying one of the sweetest moments of his professional career, thanks in large part to his strong connection with the company's fans. A connection that we won't see in Las Vegas, as the National Champion will be absent from the tapings of AEW Dynamite and Collision, as reported by the Fightful Select outlet.
"Andrade appeared on last week's episode of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam Mexico, where he was attacked by MJF. The wrestler subsequently participated in other events, but revealed on social media that he was not feeling well, leading to speculation that he may have suffered some type of injury. These speculations increased after MJF also claimed responsibility," the outlet wrote.
"Fightful Select has been able to confirm that Andrade is doing well and that, in reality, this week of absence was planned in advance. It is expected that he will return to television programming the following week and that the storyline with MJF, as well as the plans for AEW All In, will continue," the report concluded.
Andrade's rivalry with MJF began when the Mexican betrayed "The Devil" and the Don Callis Family in AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Since then, "The Idol" has competed solo with a very clear goal: to become the first Hispanic to win the company's World Championship. A title that MJF claims to hold after self-proclaiming himself as the "true AEW World Champion."
