WWE is celebrating a new episode of Monday Night Raw tonight, this time number 1,734, from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. The show will be broadcast live on Netflix. Solowrestling will bring you the results in this news article as every week.
Tonight's episode will feature several attractions, including the end of the first round of the tournament that will determine the challenger for the Heavyweight World Championship at the Mexico show on September 14. In addition, Chad Gable will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE Raw starts on Netflix!
The show begins with a video recap of last week's episode.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: Chad Gable, Sol Ruca, and Oba Femi.
Stephanie Vaquer is the one to open tonight's show. "The First" heads to the ring to a great ovation. "Hello, WWE Universe!" she exclaims in Spanish. "Tonight I'm here for one reason only: my title. I'm not here to talk. I don't want to talk. Everyone here knows that wrestling is my first language. So, Liv Morgan, come out here with MY title and face me, BITCH!", shouts the Chilean.
The World Champion appears on the entrance ramp accompanied by Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. Morgan understands that Vaquer doesn't want to talk, but she has some things to say. First, she recalls Becky Lynch's words, who stated that Liv being champion undermines the hard work of the women who held the title before her. "You know what I think about that? I don't care!", she exclaims mockingly. "I don't care about the women who came before me and I don't care about those who will come after, because I'm not champion for them. And I'm sure I'm not champion for any of you," she says as she points to the fans. "I'm champion for myself. And that leads me to you, Stephanie. Do you think I fear you?", she asks with a laugh. "Stephanie, remember that it was me who defeated you at WrestleMania, right? And I beat you up so badly the following week that you've spent the last three months at home watching my beautiful face on your TV screen. And I know that makes you sick. The only thing that matters is that I am champion. And as long as I am in this position, neither you nor Becky will ever be. And don't you think it's a little curious that the girl Becky and you tried to belittle week after week is on her way to becoming the longest-reigning Women's World Champion in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall time?", Morgan asks.
"Liv, if you're not afraid, why are you so faaaaaaaaaaaaaar away? Come here, stop running away and get in the ring," says the Chilean. Morgan accepts "La Primera's" challenge. All three members of The Judgment Day take their positions on the apron. "You'll regret this," a smiling Liv says before dropping the mic onto the canvas. Raquel, Roxanne and Morgan surround Vaquer. She charges straight at Liv, landing a right hand. Perez and Rodriguez waste no time attacking the Chilean from behind. Stephanie recovers and sends the Texans out of the ring. She then goes back after Morgan, hitting her with several headbutts, followed by a kick. Roxanne catches "La Primera" off guard with a chop block, allowing the heels to regain control. Suddenly...
Becky Lynch storms onto the scene!
The Irishwoman takes out Morgan and Perez at ringside before entering the ring, where she joins forces with Stephanie to take on Rodriguez. However, once the ring has been cleared, Vaquer and Lynch begin arguing. Liv takes advantage of the situation by grabbing "The Man's" legs and pulling her out of the ring. The Women's World Champion hurls the Irishwoman into one of the ring posts. Morgan smiles, unaware that Vaquer is taking position on the apron. Liv turns around, only for the Chilean to come crashing down on her with a diving clothesline. Raquel gets her revenge with a big boot to "La Primera". Rodriguez carries her back into the ring, where Liv hits her with a facebreaker. Roxanne finishes her off with a Pop Rox. The women of The Judgment Day pose over their victim as the segment comes to an end.
We see euphoric Usos ordering Solo Sikoa to walk through backstage. Jey and Jimmy are enjoying the moment like children. The three brothers run into LA Knight, who is sitting outside The Bloodline's locker room. "Have you had enough?", "The Megastar" asks The Usos. Jey reminds LA Knight and Solo that they both know this game very well. With that said, he invites Sikoa into the locker room. Solo and LA Knight stare at each other in silence. With no choice but to obey, Sikoa follows his brothers into the locker room. Jimmy smiles at LA Knight as he closes the door. And with that, this brief segment comes to an end.
Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh appear on the entrance ramp. Mysterio doesn't understand why the General Manager of AAA has left the "King of Wrestlers" out of the tournament to determine Roman Reigns' next opponent. Suddenly, Je'Von Evans storms onto the scene and heads toward the ring, interrupting the members of The Judgment Day. Evans grabs a microphone to address Big Cass directly, the man who has attacked him over the past few weeks. Je'Von makes it clear that he won't leave the ring until the Powerhouse shows up. McDonagh knew that the fans in attendance were idiots. What he didn't expect was for Evans to prove that he is even more of an idiot than they are. JD doesn't understand why Je'Von is asking Big Cass to beat him up again. And that's not even the worst part. Evans' biggest problem is that he interrupted them. Je'Von is tired of listening to the Irishman, so he challenges him to face him here and now. McDonagh has no problem granting his wish.
Je'Von Evans vs. JD McDonagh (with Dominik Mysterio)
McDonagh corners Je'Von in one of the turnbuckles, where he slaps him. Evans responds in kind before catching the Irishman off guard with a rapid succession of kicks that ends with his opponent being sent out of the ring. Je'Von tries to use the ropes to build momentum and launch himself, but Dom grabs him by the legs to stop him. The distraction allows JD to return and catch his opponent off guard. McDonagh takes Evans down with a uranage before hitting a Standing Moonsault, but his opponent stops him with his knees.
The action moves to ringside. Je'Von sends JD over the crowd barricade. He then backs up before launching himself with a tope. Evans brings McDonagh back into the ring, at which point Dominik intervenes once again. The AAA Megachampion's distraction once again allows JD to take control of the situation. The Irishman viciously attacks his opponent's left leg against one of the ring posts.
JD continues working over Evans' injured leg. McDonagh attacks his opponent's limb, also applying several Dragon Screws and a painful chop block. JD uses the ropes to punish Je'Von. Evans nimbly dodges another chop block and responds with a springboard enzuigiri. Je'Von drives his opponent into one of the turnbuckles and continues laying into him. Evans finishes him off with a springboard clothesline.
JD dodges an OG Cutter and responds with a headbutt. McDonagh finishes off his opponent with a brainbuster. 1..2..NO. JD kicks Je'Von in the head before climbing one of the turnbuckles. A recovered Evans quickly goes after him. However, the Irishman knocks him down. JD hits a moonsault. Evans dodges it and responds—with the OG Cutter this time. 1..2..3.
Winner: Je'Von Evans
Big Cass storms into the ring and attacks Evans from behind. Big Cass continues pummeling his victim in one of the turnbuckles. To finish his assault, he hits him with an East River Crossing. Big Cass heads back toward backstage, but Je'Von's voice stops him. "No, no, no, no, no. Hey, Big Cass! Is that all you've got?", Evans asks. "Alright. Fine," Big Cass says as he turns around. The Powerhouse heads back toward the ring, but this time Je'Von greets him with a right hand. Big Cass falls to ringside, where he is hit with a suicide dive. Suddenly, Dominik decides to intervene, throwing Evans into one of the ring posts. A recovered Big Cass grabs Je'Von by the hair and repeatedly hurls him into the crowd barricade. Big Cass brings Evans back into the ring and finishes him off with a big boot. Satisfied, Big Cass leaves the ring, leaving a battered Je'Von behind.

Cathy Kelley interviews Stephanie Vaquer backstage. Kelley reveals that "La Primera" will face Roxanne Perez one-on-one next week, marking the Chilean's return to in-ring action. Cathy asks Vaquer how she feels knowing she will get the chance to face the woman who put her out of action. "This is exactly what Liv always does. She needs THREE people to deal with me. As for Roxanne... this is different. I haven't forgotten what she did to me. This is personal," Stephanie says. Becky Lynch interrupts the interview. "Becky, I didn't ask for your help. I don't need you. And you know what? Roxanne is MY problem now. Don't become my next problem," says Vaquer. "As long as you keep going after that title, I won't just be your next problem. I'll be your biggest problem. But hey, good luck next week. I'm sure it'll be a straightforward one-on-one match where nobody interferes and everyone follows the rules to the letter. You've got it under control. I'll be watching. Good luck," says "The Man" before walking away.
Lyra Valkyria cuts a promo backstage. The Irishwoman wonders what you get when you become the first-ever Intercontinental Champion, on top of completely taking out one of the best wrestlers of this generation (Bayley). The answer is "NOTHING." Because all the spotlight is on Sol Ruca. Everyone thinks she's incredible, perfect and special, but that's not the case. Lyra insists she can do everything Ruca does, but she chooses the smart option: not taking unnecessary risks just to show off in front of everyone else. "I'm smart, and I know that when you're flying from one side to the other just to show off, that's when bad things can happen. And if Sol thinks she can cut the line and jump ahead of me to face Raquel for my title, tonight I'll make sure she crashes and burns. And then I'll go get my title back," says Valkyria to end her promo.
Lyra Valkyria vs. Sol Ruca
Both women grapple while exchanging submission holds. Sol showcases her agility to catch Valkyria off guard with a dropkick. Lyra ends up at ringside. Sol escapes Valkyria's grasp and catches her off guard with a DDT. Ruca runs toward one of the turnbuckles to hit a Sol Snatcher on a dazed Irishwoman. 1...2..3.
Winner: Sol Ruca
The Usos approach Jacob Fatu backstage. Jey and Jimmy wonder why "The Samoan Werewolf" is so serious. In fact, he should join them in their celebration, because Jey accomplished something Fatu wasn't able to do: bring Solo Sikoa back to The Bloodline. Jacob wonders what all the excitement is about when Jey needed his brother's help to pull it off. "It doesn't even bother me, because Jimmy and I made the play. Tonight, Solo Sikoa will be handed over to The OTC. Who's the punk ass now, Jacob?", Jey asks before walking away with his brother.
Danhausen appears on the entrance ramp behind the wheel of his carhausen. Danhausen announces that tonight is a celebration, as it is his birthday. And for that reason, he will give the fans some money. Danhausen pulls out his money gun, warning the audience that it doesn't have much power. As usual, the bills barely make it to the crowd barricade. But that's okay, because Danhausen will throw a few more with his own hands. Once he's done, Danhausen asks the fans to sing "Happy Birthday" to him. He then reminds them that they must spend real money buying his merchandise. Otherwise, they will all be cursed. The arena lights go out, bringing the segment to an end.
Cathy Kelley interviews The Vision backstage. Kelley asks them about everything that happened last week. Logan Paul points out that the faction's goal was to prove that they run Raw, and that anyone who stands against them will be annihilated. Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri boast about taking out Otis and Akira Tozawa. Theory also recalls how Oba Femi attacked him last week, and that's something he can't let slide. Meanwhile, he and Bron Breakker remain World Tag Team Champions. Kelley asks Bron if he has a message for Femi. "Anything I want to say to Oba Femi, I'll say it directly to his face," Breakker replies before heading toward the ring.
Bron grabs a microphone. "Come on, big man! I know you're back there, Oba! You want to be the future of this place? Come and take it from me RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!", he exclaims. However, it is Paul Heyman who appears on the scene. Heyman heads toward the ring. Paul recalls that he has been "The Advocate," "The Oracle" and "The Wiseman." And as such, he knows a great deal about this business. Heyman enters the ring to ask the question everyone is asking right now: "Who is the future of WWE?" Bron stands face-to-face with Paul. "Why don't you tell me who the future of WWE is, Paul?", he asks. Suddenly...
Oba Femi appears on the scene!
"Ooooooooooooooba! Ooooooooooooooba!", the fans chant as the Nigerian makes his way toward the ring. Femi tells Breakker to listen closely to the crowd's chants. Oba points out that everyone knows who the future of this company is, and that includes Brock Lesnar. "Because the future is Oba Femi," he says. "And if you have a problem with that answer, you can talk to me about it any day, any time." Bron smiles. "How about RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!?", Breakker exclaims. He tries to step forward, but Heyman gets in his way. "If you take one more step toward Oba Femi, you'll be walking away from me forever," says "The Wiseman." Bron doesn't understand what's going on. Paul reminds him that WWE is a major corporation that doesn't only answer to the interests of the fans, but also to its shareholders. That's why they have to play their cards right. Heyman points out that there are two future main eventers standing in the ring right now, so they have to carefully choose the setting in which to put them against each other. That's why he has already spoken with Adam Pearce, who has scheduled a match between the two of them on the next edition of Sunday Night's Main Event. The show will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, Bron's hometown, giving him the advantage of playing on home turf. Satisfied with the news, Breakker shakes Heyman's hand. Bron leaves the ring, only to realize that "The Wiseman" isn't walking with him. Breakker turns around to see Paul shaking hands with "The Ruler," completely changing the look on the World Tag Team Champion's face. "It's good business!", Heyman tells Bron before heading back backstage. Breakker remains stone-faced on the entrance ramp as the segment comes to an end.

Roman and Jacob enter the ring, where they pose again in front of the fans. Reigns grabs a microphone. "Roman, Roman Reigns!", the crowd chants. "The OTC" smiles. "Buffalo! ACKNOWLEDGE ME!", he exclaims. "OTC! OTC!", the fans chant. Roman admits that he could spend all night enjoying the crowd's chants, but the show has a limited amount of time and he has some business to take care of. "So let's not waste any more time. Bring me Solo!", he exclaims.
UUUUUSSSSSSOOOOOO!
The Usos appear on the scene with Solo Sikoa, whom they lead into the ring. Jey and Jimmy continue enjoying the moment like a couple of kids. Solo stands face-to-face with a serious Reigns. He studies his cousin carefully, while Solo remains silent and keeps his sunglasses on. "Just looking at you pisses me off, Solo!", Roman exclaims. "You see, I've said it before, but I'm a lucky man. I have everything you could possibly imagine. But some people might say I'm petty. Some don't understand how I can hold a grudge for so long. But how could I not with Solo? I think it was almost three years ago now. It was on Raw. The Netflix premiere. Tribal Combat, where I kicked your ass! But maybe you forgot. I don't know. So we put a little something together to remind you," says Reigns before introducing a video. It shows the rivalry between the two men over the past few years, including Sikoa's recent change in attitude.
"Solo! Solo!", the fans chant. "Look at Buffalo. Seems like they're having fun with this. But my question is, why do you think this is funny?", Roman asks Solo. "You're a cool guy now, huh? I wonder where that came from," he says while looking at his cousin's outfit. "You've got a little chain here," says "The OTC" as he touches Sikoa's gold chain. He then removes his sunglasses and drops them onto the canvas. Roman stomps on them, smashing them. "Now I'm starting to wonder, why are you even looking me in the eyes? Why don't you get on your knees and beg me right now?", asks "The OTC". Suddenly, Jacob hits Sikoa with a superkick before applying a Tongan Death Grip. After a few seconds, Roman orders "The Samoan Werewolf" to stop. "Not so funny now, huh?", Roman says about Solo as he turns toward the fans.
Reigns says the matter with Sikoa will be addressed later, as he now wants to reward Jey and Jimmy Uso for their work. They came up with a plan and executed it perfectly to carry out his orders. "I'm your Tribal Chief. And these are my captains. Self-made men. If you disrespect them, you're disrespecting me." With that, Reigns presents The Usos with two black Ula Falas. Fatu moves toward one of the turnbuckles with a serious look on his face. Reigns turns his attention back to Solo. Jey and Jimmy mock their younger brother, urging him to get back on his feet. Suddenly...
