Pat McAfee was one of the main protagonists of the recent Road to WrestleMania, and not in the best sense of the word. His participation in the rivalry between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes did not convince the fans, who showed their rejection of the idea from the very beginning. So much so that WWE had to improvise on the fly until the night of the match.

McAfee had promised that Orton would save the business by winning his fifteenth world championship. However, not only did he fail in his objective, but he was also attacked by his own ally. Later, McAfee announced that he was leaving the business and would not return. A stance he still maintains, as he stated in response to a fan on his Instagram stories.

"If Randy had won, maybe, but I promised that I would never, ever, appear on WWE television programming again. Cody Rhodes won. He is the chosen one. Wow, what a jerk he turned out to be. Maybe I was wrong about what I said. But no, wrestling fans can rest assured that I will never return there," he stated.

McAfee hosts and presents "The Pat McAffe Show," a daily sports program focused on entertainment. The show covers various sports, including professional wrestling, the NBA, and the NFL. It was recently announced that Pat will be part of the Monday Night Countdown program for the upcoming NFL season premiere.
