The Perros del Mal no longer counted on Bronco Nima among their ranks during the latest episode of AAA on Fox. Nima faced Penta with an important stipulation: if he managed to defeat him, Penta would have to join the group; if he lost, the former Intercontinental Champion would be free from that pressure. Finally, Penta emerged victorious, thus avoiding joining the faction and causing his teammates' frustration to fall directly on Nima.
After the match, Ángel seemed to approach to help Bronco Nima stand up, but it was all a trap. While Nima tried to recover, Daga attacked him with a steel chair, making it clear that Perros del Mal considered him responsible for the defeat and that his time within the group was over. Penta, who observed the situation with indifference, did not intervene during the aggression.
Daga took the opportunity to offer Penta a Perros del Mal t-shirt again and ask him to reconsider his position. Penta hesitated briefly, but decided to leave the ring without accepting the proposal. The faction reacted by attacking him immediately, until Rey Fénix and Dragon Lee appeared to balance the situation and assist Penta. After recovering, Penta issued a challenge for the Heat Wave event next weekend, which will coincide with AEW All In, and Rey Mysterio officiated the match from the commentary table for the show in Texas.
The rivalry between Penta and Perros del Mal had intensified during the previous week's program, when Daga tried to convince him that he needed the support of a group if he managed to win the tournament that will determine the next number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Perros del Mal gave him until the end of that broadcast to make a decision. Penta was indecisive, although he ended up describing Bronco Nima as a burden, a comment that Nima did not accept and that led to the stipulation match held this Saturday.
