AEW will make its debut in Paris with Grand Slam France

AEW will celebrate for the first time an event in France with the arrival of Grand Slam France in Paris. The company announced that the show will take place on Tuesday, October 6 at the Adidas Arena, in a new effort to expand its presence in the European market. The event will be fully recorded that same night and will be broadcast later as the weekly episodes of Dynamite and Collision, so the French audience will have a central role in AEW's television programming during that week.

The announcement was made ahead of All In, the PPV that AEW will hold this weekend in London. Grand Slam has become one of the most recognizable special brands of the company and has previously had editions in New York, Australia, and Mexico. The Adidas Arena opened its doors in Paris in 2024 and has an approximate capacity of 8,000 spectators for sporting events, although it can accommodate more people in concert configurations. Tickets for Grand Slam France will go on general sale on Friday, August 28.

Tony Khan highlighted the following that AEW has already detected among French fans and pointed out that many of them have previously traveled to the UK to attend their events. The president of AEW believes that Paris is a destination with potential to host major company events in the future. "There are many great wrestling fans in France, and many French fans have made the trip to London to see AEW. We believe there is a lot of excitement for All Elite Wrestling in Paris and we feel that this was the perfect time to debut with a big event," explained Khan.

Will Ospreay, who has wrestled in France in 2019 and 2023, also expressed confidence in the response that the local audience will offer. The British wrestler stated that he does not need to analyze the market because he has already experienced firsthand the atmosphere of events in the country. "I don't need to observe the market because I have already experienced it before. I know that, as soon as we get there and the bell rings, the French fans will let us know that they want us to come back time and time again," he affirmed.
