The future of Britt Baker in All Elite Wrestling has been a recurring topic in the news since last year, when the former World champion stopped appearing on the company's television programming. There has been much speculation about the reasons that led Tony Khan to make this decision, but the truth is that the wrestler is still not part of the company's creative plans.
With AEW All In London just around the corner, Baker posted a photograph on her social media with a sunset on a beach. Nothing out of the ordinary, until a user replied to the post. "I wish you would come back at Wembley", the fan wrote. "Me too", Baker replied.
Despite being one of the most important female wrestlers in AEW's division since its inception, Baker barely participated in the company's programming in 2023 and 2024 due to a series of injuries. In fact, she only competed five times in 2024. This, coupled with controversies backstage with colleagues like Thunder Rosa and even with MJF's girlfriend, led her to be labeled as one of the most toxic assets in the locker room.
In March 2025, Britt deleted all references to AEW on her social media, leading many to speculate about an imminent departure from the company. In fact, some media outlets hinted that the wrestler was close to signing with WWE, something that never happened. Baker last competed in November 2024. It is believed that AEW may have added time to Britt's contract due to her periods of inactivity due to injury, so this agreement would not expire until well into 2027.
