The show begins with a video recap of AAA Heat Wave.
Trios Match
La Parka, El Fiscal, and Mr. Iguana vs. Los Vipers (Histeria and Taurus) and Dinámico
La Parka and Histeria start the match. La Parka performs his classic dance moves, causing Histeria to push him. La Parka responds, initiating a first phase of testing between both wrestlers. This phase comes to an end when La Parka surprises his opponent with a spinning backbreaker. Histeria heads to his corner to tag in Taurus.
La Parka uses his speed to catch Taurus off guard, knocking him down with a kick. The new Latin American Champion tags in Mr. Iguana. He takes down Taurus with a faceplant before hitting him with La Yezca. Furious, Taurus tries to charge at Mr. Iguana, but he kicks him to bring him down with a hurricanrana. Mr. Iguana tags in El Fiscal. Meanwhile, Taurus does the same with Dinámico.
Dinámico tries to use his speed advantage, but El Fiscal blocks each of his attacks before running him over with a clothesline. Dinámico tags in Histeria. He attacks El Fiscal, but his punches have no effect. El Fiscal hoists Histeria in a Gorilla Position. Dinámico delivers a direct chop block to El Fiscal's right leg. This not only frees his partner but also allows his team to take the advantage.
Los Vipers and Dinámico focus their punishment on El Fiscal's injured leg. El Fiscal manages to suplex Dinámico, but it's not enough to escape his opponents. Finally, El Fiscal surprises Taurus with a diving crossbody to tag in Mr. Iguana, who unleashes a quick offensive on Dinámico. Los Vipers grab Mr. Iguana's legs to make him fall face-first to the mat. Dinámico tries to take advantage, but Mr. Iguana crawls under his legs to reach his corner, where he tags in La Parka.
The Latin American Champion enters with full force. La Parka executes a spinning backbreaker on Dinámico before surprising Histeria with a dropkick in his own corner. Taurus tries to get his revenge, but La Parka prevents it with a half suplex. La Parka waits for Dinámico to return to apply a Blue Thunder Bomb. 1..2..NO. Histeria interrupts the count with a Missile Dropkick.
The match descends into chaos. El Fiscal ejects Taurus from the ring. After that, he helps Mr. Iguana launch himself onto his three opponents at ringside. El Fiscal gains momentum on the ropes to dive with a suicide dive onto his rivals. La Parka follows the path set by his partners to dive with a tope con giro. La Parka brings Histeria back into the ring to apply a rolling cutter, followed by La Deshuesadora.
Winners: La Parka, El Fiscal, and Mr. Iguana
La Parka brings a young fan dressed like him into the ring. The child joins the winners' celebration.
We see a video recap of the Russian Roulette match that La Catalina won at AAA Heat Wave.
Andrea Bazarte interviewed La Catalina after her match at that event. The Chilean wrestler expressed her excitement for her victory, as she had been longing for a shot at the Reina de Reinas Championship for a long time. "Flammer, I'm coming for you at Triplemanía", she said. La Catalina boasted about overcoming all obstacles, including having to face La Hiedra and her attempt to injure her arm. "Pathetic. I beat them right in their faces", she declared. Bazarte then asked her about her strategy for Triplemanía considering the state of her arm. The Chilean wrestler pointed out that the WWE medical team will help her recover, as she is currently training at the Performance Center. La Catalina addressed Flammer directly, indicating that her reign as champion is coming to an end, as well as her friendship with La Hiedra. Bazarte asked her if she could imagine herself with the championship around her waist. The Chilean replied that it has been her dream since she was a little girl. Now it's just a matter of time before it becomes a reality. With Triplemanía 34 just around the corner, La Catalina was already envisioning her return to Chile with the championship. "I'm going to show it off everywhere. It will look even more beautiful," she said. Bazarte asked her about her strategy for her match at Triplemanía, especially considering that Flammer has been able to hold the title for over 1,000 days. "She's very smart, but I think her intelligence came from having friends by her side, right? And with everything that has been happening lately in AAA, I think that intelligence and strategy she had are no longer working. Flammer, your time is running out. I think you should give it some kisses, take some good photos, and start saying goodbye to it, because the new champion will be La Catalina," the Chilean stated. Finally, Andrea asked her what it would mean for her to win the title. "For my dreams. For leaving my home. For leaving my country. For leaving my family. I'm 26 years old. I left my home at 17. That's what it means," La Catalina replied. Bazarte thanked the Chilean for her time to end the interview.
We see a video recap of the final of the tournament to determine Roman Reigns' opponent in Mexico City, which was won by Penta in the most recent episode of WWE Raw.
Rey Mysterio delivers a video promo. In it, the General Manager praises AAA's trios division, noting that it has always been one of the company's main attractions. Rey recalls the creation of the division championships in 2011 and how the original Los Perros del Mal group became the first holders of these belts. Unfortunately, in recent months, the current champions were attacked and put out of action. However, Psycho Circus have confirmed to him that they are fully recovered and ready to defend their titles. And they want to do it at Triplemanía. That's why Rey is proud to announce that Psycho Circus will put the gold on the line against the new generation of Los Perros del Mal on the first night of the grand event. The General Manager wishes both teams good luck and urges fans not to miss the action at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on September 11.
We see what happened last week after the chaotic contract signing for the Megachampionship AAA match. Before heading backstage, El Grande Americano wants to invite a great friend to the ring, who is also a native of this city: Pimpinela Escarlata. She is greeted with a great ovation from the audience. "Pimpi! Pimpi!" chant the fans. Pimpinela thanks the audience for their unconditional support throughout her 40-year career. Pimpinela doesn't think she can cry out of emotion, as she has shed all her tears over the years. That said, she advises fans to love and take care of their parents while they still can.
Finally, she wants to thank El Grande Americano for allowing her to share this moment with her. "Kiss! Kiss!" chant the fans. El Grande Americano grants the fans' wish... by kissing Pimpinela on the cheek. The masked wrestler tries to speak, at which point the audience chants Pimpinela's name again. El Grande Americano steps aside so she can receive all the attention. El Grande Americano approaches Pimpinela again to assure her that it is an honor for him to share the ring with a legend like her. El Grande Americano and Pimpinela embrace. "Pimpinela! Pimpinela!" the fans chant again. El Grande Americano leaves the ring to once again let the legend receive all the attention. And so we reach the end of this segment.
El Grande Americano stars in a video promo before his match at Triplemanía 34. "What a year, my people. What a year... after everything that happened. I won the Rey de Reyes tournament. I also won the Chaparro Americano's mask. And now... what now? Now... I want more. Now I want the biggest. The biggest thing in AAA. Now I want to win the Megachampionship against Dominik Mysterio. From the moment I won the Rey de Reyes tournament, I felt pressure, because now I want more. Now I want to win the Megachampionship. Not just for me, but for my people. For my country. For my girlfriend. For Pimpi. For Mexico. This fight... this fight is more than the Megachampionship. This fight is for our legacy. This fight is for our history. This fight is for our culture, bastards! This fight... is for our pride. Triplemanía. Mexico City. Dominik Mysterio against El Grande Americano for the Megachampionship," the masked wrestler says.
Mr. Iguana meets with Rey Mysterio in the General Manager's office. Mr. Iguana congratulates Rey on his work in AAA, especially for the opportunities he is giving to the company's talent. That said, he reminds Mysterio that he has only lost one match, and it was against Laredo Kid and La Hiedra to lose the Mixed Tag Team Championships. In terms of his solo work, he remains undefeated. That's why he wonders if the legend could grant him an opportunity for an individual championship. Rey acknowledges that Mr. Iguana is right. But how much does he desire that opportunity? "I want it more than La Yezca. I want this opportunity more than anything in the world," Mr. Iguana replies. The General Manager grants him his wish, but he will have to face the man who defeated him to dethrone him as tag team champion, Laredo Kid, and his best friend, La Parka, for the Latin American Championship, currently held by the latter. Mr. Iguana accepts the deal. Rey makes the match official for the first night of Triplemanía. Mr. Iguana thanks him for the opportunity. Mysterio receives a call he must attend to, so he leaves the place to answer it. At that moment, La Parka appears on the scene. Mr. Iguana asks him if he heard the conversation. La Parka replies that he didn't. "We have to talk about a little something," Mr. Iguana says as they both leave the office.
Andrea Bazarte interviewed War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) backstage at AAA Heat Wave. Bazarte asked them how they felt after their title defense on the show. Ivar replied that "good" fell short. "If we are the AAA Tag Team Champions, it's for a reason," he said. Andrea then asked them about their plans for Triplemanía. "There is not a single team on this planet that can take away what is ours. In SmackDown, in Mexico City, we will end Damian Priest and R-Truth and defend these titles. And at Triplemanía, we will issue an open challenge," Erik said. "To any team," Ivar added. "From anywhere. Because we are ready for anyone," Erik continued. "Because no one is prepared for war," Ivar added to conclude the interview.
Flammer makes her entrance to join the commentary table. The Reina de Reinas Champion takes a seat to witness the main event of the night.
La Catalina vs. Adelicious
La Catalina removes her earrings to throw them at Flammer. Flammer mocks the Chilean, pointing out that she only buys cheap jewelry. La Catalina knocks down Adelicious with a dropkick, only to receive the same attack in return. Adelicious takes La Catalina to the mat and then kicks her. La Catalina elbows Adelicious, who responds with a slingblade. 1..2..NO.
Adelicious takes La Catalina to one of the corners to bash her head against the turnbuckle. La Catalina recovers to pay her back in kind. After that, she seeks height to execute a Missile Dropkick. La Catalina continues her offense with a corner hip attack before applying a Fisherman's Buster. The Chilean delivers a second running hip attack to her opponent, this time in the ropes area, before finishing her off with a spinning facebuster. 1..2..3.
Winner: La Catalina
La Catalina challenges Flammer to enter the ring. The Reina de Reinas teases accepting the invitation, even going as far as passing halfway under the ropes, but ultimately decides to head backstage. La Catalina poses in the center of the ring while Flammer raises her championship on the entrance ramp. And so we reach the end of this week's AAA episode.
