The absence of Bayley on WWE television seems to be coming to an end. After weeks of uncertainty about her contract and several reports indicating that WWE was already working on creative ideas for her, there is now a new development ahead of tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Birmingham.
According to PWInsider, Bayley is expected to make her return to WWE during tonight's show. This information comes a week after it was revealed that creative proposals for her on the red brand had already been discussed.
Bayley has not appeared on WWE programming since her defeat to Lyra Valkyria on Saturday Night's Main Event on July 18. Valkyria attacked her after the match, providing WWE with a storyline justification to keep her off television.
During that period, Bayley returned to the ring only once, competing in a live event on July 26 in Bakersfield, California. However, she has not appeared on any televised program since the angle with Valkyria.
Her absence coincided with numerous questions about her future in the company. On September 3, it was reported that the belief within WWE was that Bayley had already signed a new contract. That same report suggested that Bayley could end up involved in WWE beyond her role as an on-screen wrestler, although it was not specified what additional roles she could play.
Now all those signs seem to be leading to a resolution. WWE was already working on creative ideas for Bayley last week, and if all goes as planned, fans won't have to wait much longer to find out what the company has in store for her.
