The battle to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship is confirmed for next week's episode. Mason Rook, Tony D'Angelo, and Saquon Shugars defeated EK Prosper, Cruz Montana, and Keanu Carver in a trios match that closed this week's show. According to the stipulation, the winners will now face off in a triple threat match to decide who will challenge Grayson Waller for the title.
The end of the match saw Tony D'Angelo taking Prosper out of the equation when Rook blindly tagged himself into the match. Rook grabbed D'Angelo and threw him into Prosper in the corner with a running strike. He then covered Prosper to secure the victory.
On another note, Myles Borne will issue a public apology to Tavion Heights after brutally attacking him following two losses at Heatwave. On Tuesday, Borne showed remorse for his actions and appeared among the audience after Heights lost his North American Championship match against Jackson Drake. Heights, however, seemed unwilling to have anything to do with Borne. Backstage, Hank and Tank convinced Borne to make the public apology.
