Many All Elite Wrestling fans are eager to see her compete in their women's division. In fact, there were even rumors that her debut would take place at AEW All In London. However, that was not the case, not due to a lack of interest from the company. This was explained in the most recent report from Fightful Select.
"Kairi is one of the top free agents in the world of professional wrestling, but it surprised many fans that she was not present at AEW All In. Fightful Select has confirmed that, at this point, Kairi has not yet signed with the company. However, this is not due to a lack of interest from AEW," the outlet wrote.
"According to our sources, there have been discussions between All Elite Wrestling and Kairi, but the deal has not been finalized yet. Currently, there are several companies interested in acquiring the services of the Japanese wrestler, even outside of the United States. Speaking with sources familiar with the situation, we were informed that it is not expected for Marigold to end up being Kairi's destination in Japan," Fightful wrote.
"The sources we spoke with indicated that it did not seem likely that Kairi had signed with AEW for All In at practically any point, and that the wrestler was not considered for the event at any stage of its planning," the report concluded.
Kairi was one of the talents affected in the round of releases carried out by WWE after WrestleMania 42. Her departure was one of the most talked-about and criticized, as "The Pirate Princess" was one of the most beloved women by fans and her fellow wrestlers. Additionally, Kairi was a recurring character in the company's television programming, which surprised the audience even more. Her 90-day non-compete clause expired at the end of July.
