Sol Ruca has one of the most eye-catching finishers in the entire WWE roster. Her Sol Snatcher combines the effectiveness of a cutter with an athletic twist using the corner that looks spectacular when executed perfectly. Therefore, it is logical for fans to expect to see it every time Ruca is in a match. However, this could be an impediment for them to fully enjoy the fight, turning it into a mere formality until the moment of the Sol Snatcher execution. Ruca explained this in a recent interview for HUGE POP!
"Definitely, I have had that thought before. However, I believe it all depends on the other things you do in the ring and the emotion you convey with them because, yes, sometimes fans may not buy into a falsie (false finish) I do with someone because they know it's not my final move. But if you put emotion into it, if you're covering your opponent as if you're thinking, 'This is over,' and then they manage to escape, and your expression changes, I think that's how you get them involved. In my opinion, it doesn't necessarily have to be always my finisher, and that's precisely what I'm working on the most: those small character details and facial expressions, so people don't just watch and wait for the final move. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well," she said.
"Yes, I definitely have. I think, if I had a second finisher, it would probably have to be something non-aerial. Maybe a submission or a more strength-based move, because I do think that my finisher... I don't know if I could top that, at least not right now, unless I come up with something else. But, for now, I think that's going to be my only final move for a while," she stated.
Ruca has been using the Sol Snatcher since her time in NXT. In addition to her finishing move, the wrestler has always stood out for her great athleticism and positive attitude, aspects that have resonated with both the Performance Center audience and the main roster fans. After a reign as Intercontinental Champion, Sol is now aiming for the Money in the Bank briefcase, being the first woman qualified for the ladder match that will take place in WWE's traditional PLE.
