Faithful to its tradition, All Elite Wrestling will close the year with a new edition of the AEW Continental Classic, a points tournament (Robin Round) where 12 of the best talents of the company will compete over several weeks with the Continental Championship (currently held by Jon Moxley) at stake.
This afternoon, the company has officially announced that the tournament will begin on the AEW Dynamite show on November 18, which will take place at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado. At the moment, it is unknown who will be part of the tournament, as well as the date of the final, although it is very likely to take place at the PPV Worlds End, as it has always been since its first edition.
The Continental Classic was introduced into All Elite Wrestling's television programming in 2023, with Eddie Kingston emerging victorious to become the inaugural champion of the new title. The success of the tournament led the company to hold a new edition in 2024, where it was definitively established as an annual competition.
This second edition was won by Kazuchika Okada, who would lose the championship just one year later to Jon Moxley in the 2025 final. The leader of Death Riders still holds the championship. With November just around the corner, there is a possibility of a repeat of last year's story, with the champion putting the gold on the line in the same tournament where he won it.
