Since returning to WWE, Baron Corbin has been embroiled in a rivalry with Trick Williams involving the United States Championship. A story in which Lil Yachty has also had his share of the spotlight. While it is true that Williams and Yachty are usually well received by fans, largely thanks to the "Whoop that Trick" chants, it is also true that a portion of the fans are not happy with them.
In a recent interview for Hammer & Nigel Show, "The Lone Wolf" addressed those fans to encourage them to boo Trick and his partner, ensuring that they wouldn't know how to react if this were to happen. Corbin even went as far as to imagine a scenario in which Williams would end up crying due to lack of support from the audience.
"Trick Williams currently holds my title. Last Friday, I left him lying on the ground with a kendo stick. It was in and out; he was lying on the ground crying like a baby. We can boo him. We boycott Yachty's music and also boo him. That would get into their heads if it were to happen. If they come out to the ring and the audience isn't singing their theme song, which is what made them so popular, I think it would blow their minds. 'What's happening? People don't like it?'. He might even cry. I am totally in favor of that," he said.
During the interview, Corbin also reflected on his time in the NFL and how different professional football is compared to wrestling. "It's been an incredibly fun journey, and that's what I like most about WWE. You never quite know what you're going to get. There's a dose of madness in all of this. The entertainment factor plays a huge role. All kinds of celebrities pass through these doors. There are also legends and athletes from other fields. UFC fighters, boxers. It's an opportunity for me to hit people from all walks of life," he said.
Baron lost his undefeated streak in this new WWE stage after being defeated by Williams at Sunday Night's Main Event. That defeat was accompanied by the loss of the United States Championship. Just minutes before that, Corbin failed in his personal challenge to finish off Lil Yachty in under five minutes. It is expected that this story will continue tomorrow on SmackDown.
