The six-way battle at Bound for Glory to determine the next TNA X-Division Champion has received a new participant in this Thursday's episode of TNA Impact. Former champion Rich Swann became the fourth qualifier after defeating LJ Cleary with a phoenix splash, joining KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner, and also former champion Cedric Alexander, who entered thanks to his rematch clause. The title became vacant after Leon Slater, after winning the championship from Swann, decided to use Option C and exchange it for a shot at the TNA World Championship at Bound for Glory. Swann had held the title for 194 days in 2019, successfully defending it 12 times before losing it to Jake Crist. Now, the veteran joins an open battle that still has two spots to confirm for the event on October 11 in Tampa, Florida.
On the other hand, a new match seems to be on the horizon for the PPV, pitting Eddie Edwards against Ricky Sosa, although it has not been officially announced yet. Edwards and Cedric Alexander lost to Sosa and Elijah on this Thursday's show, when Sosa pinned Alexander. After a post-match attack by The System, Edwards issued the challenge to Sosa. Below you can see the updated lineup for the show, which will take place on Sunday, October 11 in Tampa, Florida.
