Cal Bloom already knows the details of his first appearance in All Japan Pro Wrestling. The former WWE NXT wrestler, known there as Von Wagner, will debut on October 22 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, one of the most emblematic venues of Japanese wrestling. His debut will be in an eight-participant tag team match.
Bloom will team up with Shotaro Ashino, Oddyssey, and Xyon to face Jun Saito, Rei Saito, Senor Saito, and Naruki Doi. Bloom's presence in that team confirms his addition to Havoc, the faction that already includes two other former NXT talents: Oddyssey, previously known as Odyssey Jones, and Xyon, formerly Xyon Quinn in WWE.
The match will be a first contact for Bloom within AJPW, but it also immediately places him against one of the most relevant tag teams in the company. Jun and Rei Saito, the Saito Brothers, are the current All Japan Tag Team Champions and will defend their titles on October 11 against Yuma Aoyagi and Yuma Anzai, just eleven days before the Korakuen Hall show.
Bloom joined WWE in 2019 after playing college football. He debuted as Von Wagner in NXT in 2021 and received a significant push during his early months on the brand, but was eventually released by the company in 2024. Since then, his in-ring activity has been limited: in addition to participating in a ROH taping in 2025, his arrival in All Japan represents the most significant move of his career since leaving WWE.
The October 22 show will feature the Triple Crown Championship defense by Kento Miyahara against Ryuki Honda as the main event. Before that big match, all eyes will be on Bloom's Japanese debut and how his physical style fits within the AJPW and Havoc system.
