Two former champions of All Elite Wrestling could become free agents in just one week. They are Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, whose contracts with the company expire at the beginning of October. According to the specialized media Fightful, there have been no negotiations to renew either of the two contracts at the moment, so their future in AEW remains uncertain.
"The former members of The Acclaimed, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, will see their contracts with All Elite Wrestling expire at the beginning of October. When asked about their situation, Sean Ross Sapp, from Fightful Select, received information that there have been no negotiations to renew their contracts, nor has it been communicated whether new agreements will be offered to them or if, on the contrary, there will be no renewal offer. At the moment, the situation seems calm in both cases," the media wrote in its most recent report.
Following their separation, Caster and Bowens started solo careers on AEW's television programming. Last year, they reunited, although that storyline was quite brief. Caster has not competed for the company since December of last year, although he has remained active in the independent scene.
Bowens, on the other hand, has had some prominence in AEW's weekly shows. He recently joined The Opps. His last match took place at the end of July in the Buy In of All In London. Since then, he has not competed in an AEW ring. It is unknown if this absence is related to the proximity of the expiration of his contract.
