Roman Reigns has been the face of WWE since John Cena became a part-timer. While the Samoan never had the massive support of the fans, he did have the backing of the company, which ultimately propelled him to the top of the company. Over the years, and especially after his heel turn in 2020, Reigns ended up being unanimously considered the visible face of WWE.
A position that Cody Rhodes seems to have taken since his return to the company. The massive support of the fans, combined with the full confidence of WWE, have led him to be considered the new "QB1" (or quarterback) of the promotion. Something that Reigns himself agrees with, as he stated in a recent interview for Complex.

Reigns and Rhodes starred in one of the most prominent stories in WWE of the last decade. After his return to the company, Cody revealed that his goal was to finish their story. To do so, he had to win the Undisputed WWE Championship, thus honoring the memory of his father, who never could become a world champion in the company. Rhodes achieved his goal at WrestleMania XL, ending the historic reign of "The OTC" and beginning his leadership in the company.
