The edition of Grand Slam France, which will take place on Tuesday October 6 in Paris, already has its first confirmed match, while next week's Dynamite in Pittsburgh will bring back one of the most important female rivalries in the recent history of the company.
Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne will face off again in France. The announcement came during the Collision segment integrated into the special three-hour block on Wednesday, when Jericho called Wayne into the ring to discuss what had happened in their first match the previous week. Jericho had won that encounter and tried to settle the matter with a handshake, but Wayne rejected the gesture. The young wrestler took advantage of the situation to hit the ropes, striking Jericho in the groin, before leaving him lying on the mat.
With tension still present between them, Nick Wayne issued the challenge for a rematch at Grand Slam France. Jericho accepted, and the match was scheduled for AEW's debut in Paris. It will be an opportunity for Wayne to balance the rivalry against one of the most experienced names in the company, after Jericho emerged victorious in their first encounter.
