WWE returned to Mexico on September 14th to celebrate the first episode of Raw in the North American country in fifteen years. For this occasion, the company prepared a great lineup, with two headline matches that were very well received by the fans. The show also achieved one of the best audience ratings of the year, something that has generated great enthusiasm at Netflix, as revealed in a recent report by WrestleVotes on Fightful Select.
"WrestleVotes was informed of how excited and impressed Netflix is with the figures obtained by Monday Night Raw from Mexico City on September 14th," the outlet wrote. "We are told that WWE is extremely pleased with the outcome, with the three million viewers recorded, especially considering that the first week of the NFL's Monday Night Football season is usually a particularly challenging time slot for the program."
"We have also learned that Netflix is eager to showcase more prominent names and bigger matches on Raw more regularly, with the intention of capitalizing on the momentum generated by the show from Mexico City," the report concluded.
Netflix became the official home of Monday Night Raw in January 2025. Since its debut, the red brand show has become the most consistent program on the platform, consistently ranking in the top 10 most-watched English-language shows each week. However, Netflix has also made unpopular decisions, such as employing censorship to avoid showing blood, foul language, or controversial phrases.
