All Elite Wrestling fans are still waiting for the arrival of Kairi Sane, one of the most sought-after Japanese wrestlers at the moment. As previously reported, the company aims to sign an agreement with the former WWE superstar. However, negotiations have not yet been completed, so it seems practically impossible for her to debut this weekend at All Out, as indicated by Fightful Select in its most recent report.
"As of Friday, Kairi had not signed a contract and it was not planned for her to participate in AEW All Out, according to Fightful Select. A source pointed out that, as things currently stand, it would be almost legally impossible for her to appear in All Out. Discussions with AEW continue and it is expected that, if an agreement is finally reached, she would have a dual contract," the outlet wrote.
Dual contracts are quite common in All Elite Wrestling. Máscara Dorada and Persephone have this type of agreement, allowing them to work for both Tony Khan's company and CMLL. Another example is Konosuke Takeshita, who has a triple contract with AEW, NJPW, and DDT Pro-Wrestling. At the moment, it is unknown which is the second company Kairi would work for, although everything points to one of the major women's wrestling promotions in Japan (STARDOM or MARIGOLD).
Kairi was one of the talents affected in the round of layoffs carried out by WWE after WrestleMania 42. Her departure was one of the most talked about and criticized, as "The Pirate Princess" was one of the most beloved wrestlers in the locker room. In addition, Kairi was a recurring character in the company's television programming, which surprised the audience even more. Her 90-day non-compete clause expired at the end of July, when she officially became a free agent.
