WWE and 2K have announced an unprecedented initiative for the release of WWE 2K27. For the first time in the history of the franchise, fans will be able to vote to decide which Superstar will appear on one of the covers of the next installment of the video game. The voting will be available exclusively to registered members of Club WWE and will feature eight candidates from different brands of the company.
The initiative is named WWE 2K27 Superstar Cover Fan Vote and will allow choosing between Bron Breakker, Fatal Influence, Je'Von Evans, Oba Femi, Penta, Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer, and Trick Williams. The winner will appear on an edition of WWE 2K27 whose cover will be officially unveiled in early 2027.
Voting began on Friday, September 11, and is limited to users registered in Club WWE. Each member will be able to cast a single vote through the official platform of the service.

The selection is particularly striking because WWE and 2K have mainly bet on talents representing the new generation of the company. Several of them have made the leap from NXT to the main roster in recent years, while others continue to be key figures in the developmental brand.
Also noteworthy is the presence of Fatal Influence as the only collective candidacy. The female group will thus compete individually in the voting against names like Breakker, Femi, Vaquer, or Williams, some of the wrestlers who have gained the most prominence during WWE's new era.
The voting represents a change from the usual procedure used to promote WWE video games. Traditionally, 2K and WWE have directly selected the Superstars responsible for starring on the covers, reserving that space for some of the most prominent names each season.
Among the protagonists of recent installments are Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley, who appeared on the different editions of WWE 2K24. A year later, Roman Reigns was chosen as the cover star of WWE 2K25.
With WWE 2K27, fans will have direct capacity for the first time to decide one of those promotional spaces. However, the announcement specifies that the winner will appear on "an edition" of WWE 2K27, so the voting does not necessarily determine the main or standard cover of the video game. WWE and 2K have not yet detailed how many editions will be available either.
The identity of the winner and the corresponding cover will be revealed in early 2027. At the moment, the companies have not officially announced the release date of the video game or presented its main gameplay innovations.
To participate, it will be necessary to be registered in Club WWE, the membership platform with which the company gathers different services related to tickets, merchandise, exclusive content, community, and rewards.
WWE points out that currently fans in the United States can subscribe to Club WWE for $99 annually, equivalent to $8.25 monthly spread throughout the year. Each registered account will have the right to cast a single vote in the cover selection.
WWE 2K27 will be the next installment of WWE's main video game franchise developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. Although there are still many details to be revealed about the title, the choice of one of its covers becomes one of the first promotional initiatives leading up to its full presentation in 2027.
