AMC and TNA+ aired last night episode number 1,159 of TNA Thursday Night iMPACT!, recorded from the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. The show featured several matches and segments of interest, highlighting BDE's first individual victory in the company, the complete breakup of Order 4, and the main segment of the night, starring syX and The Hardys.
- The show started with an In Memoriam in memory of Benjamin "PAC" Satterley.
- BDE (with Rich Swann) defeated Mr. Elegance (with The Personal Concierge) to qualify for the X-Division Championship match at TNA Bound For Glory. BDE surprised Mr. Elegance with a roll-up for the victory. This was also BDE's first individual victory in TNA Wrestling.
- John Skyler and Mila Moore approached Jason Hotch backstage. Skyler was excited to be able to compete alongside Hotch "like in the old times." Jason pointed out that things would be a bit different and reminded John that he didn't stand up for his family when Mustafa Ali went after them and refused to leave Order 4 with him "because he needed this job." Skyler stated that the faction was not just a job for him, it was his family. And Hotch knew that. With that said, he mentioned that things had changed, as he now had Moore by his side. "Now I am happy. So I just hope you are happy for me as I was for you," said Skyler. He claimed to be ready to go out to the ring, with Mila in his corner, and hoped his partner would have his back. With that, he left with Moore.
- Home Town Man "conversed" with "Deuce" (the Dude Wipes mascot) backstage. She gifted him some wipes from the brand. Home Town Man thanked her for it, at which point AJ Francis and Expressions appeared on the scene. Francis scolded "Deuce" for wasting time with talents like Home Town Man, reminding her over and over that he was the one who got her this job at TNA. "So you better do your job tonight!", he exclaimed before pushing her to the ground. Home Town Man helped "Deuce" to her feet and asked her why she obeyed Francis' orders. He returned to snatch the wipes that "Deuce" had given her. Francis and Expressions left the scene to end the segment.
- Indi Hartwell defeated Zoey Serrano by disqualification after being attacked with a metal chair. Serrano was escorted backstage by several security members. Xia Brookside, who had been a guest commentator, entered the ring to hit Hartwell with her Knockouts World Championship. The British wrestler posed over her victim to end the segment.
- Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0 (with Tasha Steelz) defeated The Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) (with Mila Moore) in a tag team match. Ali applied a Sharpshooter on Skyler to force his submission. After the match, Ali ordered Special Agent 0 to attack both Hotch (whom he knocked out with a punch) and Skyler (whom he hit with a big boot). However, Special Agent 0 only obeyed when Steelz instructed him to. Furious, the leader of Order 4 scolded Special Agent 0 for not following his orders and Steelz for giving them without his consent. Tired of the repeated disrespect, Tasha ordered Special Agent 0 to attack Ali, whom he knocked out with a clothesline. After that, she pointed at Mila. Special Agent 0 grabbed Moore to deliver a double chokeslam. Tasha raised the TNA International Championship over a pile of bodies with Special Agent 0 by her side. This concluded this segment.
TNA provided a medical update on several of its talents:
- John Skyler was attending to Mila Moore backstage when a furious Mustafa Ali appeared on the scene while looking for Special Agent 0 and Tasha Steelz. The International Champion quickly found them, along with Jason Hotch, sparking a fight between the four men. Santino Marella burst onto the scene with several security members to stop the fight and announce that the four will compete in a fatal four-way match for Ali's title at Bound For Glory.
- Moose defeated AJ Francis (with Expressions and "Deuce") after hitting him with a spear. In the final moments of the match, "Deuce" prevented Francis from throwing Moose onto a table at ringside. Moose then delivered a big boot to Expressions, who fell onto the table, which shattered. Francis soon reproached "Deuce" for his betrayal, a moment that Moose took advantage of to strike his opponent's head with a toilet lid. After that, he finished him off with his finisher.
- Accompanied by Kiera Hogan, Allie finally reunited with Rosemary, who was still wearing the same straitjacket from the previous week. Separated by a fence, Allie asked Rosemary if what was happening was real or if her friend was in her head. "What is real?", asked Rosemary. "Where are you? Where am I?", she added. Allie confessed that she didn't understand her, but she could still hear her. Suddenly, Rosemary began to scream. As she ran away from the scene, she warned Allie to beware of the snakes lurking in the grass. This concluded this enigmatic segment.
- Leon Slater defeated Joe Alonzo in a quick squash match. Alonzo delivered an extensive promo where he criticized Slater and praised Nic Nemeth (who was a guest commentator). As soon as the bell rang, Leon knocked out Joe with a kick. After that, he finished him off with a Swanton 450. After the match, Nemeth tried to enter the ring to attack Slater, but he was ready. Nic retreated backstage with his opponent's jacket for Bound For Glory, but he forgot his world championships on the commentator's table. Leon picked them up to pose with them.
- A video was shown of the training that Frankie Kazarian is conducting with Avery Styles before his in-ring debut at TNA Bound For Glory. Kazarian emphasized the importance of both being the last two participants in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at the PPV. At one point, Frankie tricked Avery to throw him out of the ring. "Never turn your back on anyone. Especially me," he said to his pupil. Kazarian reminded him that at Bound For Glory, everyone will be watching him, so he must show them what he's capable of.
Elayna Black approached The Elegance Brand to confess that she was eager to kick M By Elegance's butt and snatch the Knockouts World Television Championship from her. Black taunted the champion while sowing discord in her partner Heather. M assured that next week she will humiliate her as Xia Brookside did in front of her whole family. Black stated that her confidence came from having her "goons" to retain the gold. M took the bait, promising to go to the ring alone. Satisfied, Elayna bid farewell to the champion, stating that the "Elayna Black Era" in TNA would begin next week. The Personal Concierge scolded M for letting herself be provoked, but the champion assured him that she had everything under control.
- Cedric Alexander defeated Ricky Sosa after hitting him with a Lumbar Check. The System intervened in the final moments of the match. Alisha Edwards climbed onto the apron to distract the referee. Eddie Edwards burst into the ring to surprise Sosa with a low blow. This allowed Alexander to apply his finisher and seal his victory.
- syX (Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw) made their way to the ring to address the fans. "We are here," said Swayer to the camera (a clear reference to Bray Wyatt). Shaw recalled that for weeks, everyone wondered who was behind the mysterious backstage attacks. "You now have the answer," he said. However, they had asked the wrong question. "It's not who. It's why," he stated. Shaw indicated that he had seen TNA become a "rotten place." For that reason, it needed to be destroyed. "No one is safe, and no help will come," said Sawyer.
Joseph assured that everyone in TNA is in danger, starting with The Hardys. Shaw acknowledged that Matt and Jeff have shown throughout their career that they cannot die. He and Sawyer tried last week, but without success. That's why they will try again. Sawyer addressed The Hardys directly, reminding them that last week they got what they asked for: them. Joseph pointed out that Matt and Jeff have spent their lives being "extreme." Now they were ready to see how hard it is to kill them.
Matt and Jeff Hardy appeared on the entrance ramp to make it clear that, despite everything, they are still standing. Matt stated that SYX couldn't finish them because they can't die. With that said, he offered them the chance to prove it. For that, he challenged them to a very special match at Bound For Glory: an Anything Goes Falls Count Anywhere Match. Jeff, however, didn't want to wait until October 11, so he proposed to settle this matter right then and there. The Hardys headed to the ring, at which point the lights in the venue went out. When the light returned, syX had disappeared from the ring without a trace. This concluded this week's episode.
