Max Caster has been at the center of controversy since making his debut in TNA Wrestling during their biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory. The wrestler made his entrance with a rap in which he mentioned a bombing in the city of Riyadh. A comment that did not sit well within the company and has ultimately led to him being shown the door in the near future. This is how TNA explained it in an official statement issued last night.

"During the Bound For Glory pay-per-view event on Sunday, Max Caster made insensitive comments regarding the attacks that occurred in Riyadh, which resulted in deaths and injuries. Joking about violent attacks is wrong. This should have never been part of the show, and the responsibility for it happening is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those affected. We offer our sincerest apologies. We have removed the segment from event replays and our social media channels, and we are taking steps to ensure that something like this does not happen again. Max Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA," the company wrote in their statement.

Max Caster issues a public apology

The wrestler has also wanted to publicly apologize to TNA, its president Carlos Silva, and all the people who contributed to his arrival at the company. Caster stated that he never intended to offend anyone, but rather his goal is, and has always been, to entertain fans with his raps and generate reactions.

"To clarify the whole TNA situation, I want to thank Carlos Silva. I spoke with him in person and he was very generous and very professional, even after everything that has happened. I understand why he did what he did. It's his show and he has to protect TNA. He felt I went too far, so I want to apologize to him and all the other members of the board. I also want to apologize to all the people who vouched for him to get that position. I feel like I have let those people down. Thanks to Moose for sharing his space with me and giving me the opportunity to participate. I wish things hadn't ended this way, but I am proud of that match and regret how things have turned out.

As for those who have been offended, I want everyone to know that, when I do these raps, it is never with the intention of offending anyone. My only goal is to entertain. For me, entertainment comes first and if someone is offended, that is their right. Therefore, I cannot apologize simply because someone has been offended. But I want it to be clear that my intention is not to upset anyone. If I manage to provoke a reaction, I consider that I have done my job well. It was a very relevant part of the show and it generated a lot of discussion, so I am satisfied with that. However, I accept the consequences of everything that happened. I can face the facts as they are.

And for all those asking if I am okay, I am okay. I am just embarrassed by how all of this has unfolded. You don't want it to all come down to having a match and then getting fired. But, once again, that is the reality of the situation. I accept it, because that's life. Sometimes in life, you have to face the music, accept the consequences, and move forward. I don't know what will come next, but we will see. Thanks to everyone who has reached out to me and shown their support," Caster said in a video shared on his social media.
