AMC and TNA+ aired last night episode number 1,161 of TNA Thursday Night iMPACT!, recorded from the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan, Alabama. The show, led by The Hardys as part of the celebration of their 35-year career, featured several matches and segments of interest, highlighting Trey Miguel's victory in a Ladder Match to become the first challenger to Leon Slater for the company's World Championship.
- The show started with a video recap of TNA Bound For Glory.
- The Hardys were in charge of opening the show. Matt and Jeff welcomed the fans to a very special night. The legends were celebrating their 35th anniversary as professional wrestlers, and Santino Marella had given them free rein to run the show as they pleased. That's why they had scheduled a very special lineup that included a "brother vs. brother" match and a Tables Match between two teams that had tried to take them out (The Righteous and syX).
Next, The Hardys recalled Amazing Red's victory at Bound For Glory before inviting him to join them in the ring. Matt and Jeff personally congratulated the new TNA Hall of Famer. In turn, he congratulated The Hardys on their legendary career and for becoming the G.O.A.T.S. of tag team wrestling.
The Hardys then introduced one of the main stars of Bound For Glory: Leon Slater, who quickly joined the three legends in the ring. The Briton reminded everyone that last Sunday he made history by becoming the youngest TNA World Champion of all time. However, he made it clear that this record was just a statistic, as his real goal was to establish himself as a champion willing to defend the gold.
Jeff Hardy was excited about the possibility of facing Slater with the title on the line, but Matt quickly interrupted to remind him that that night they were supposed to be booking matches, not starring in them. Nevertheless, the brothers had already decided how the first contender for the championship would be determined: a Ladder Match where five wrestlers would compete for a contract suspended above the ring. The participants would be Elijah, Jason Hotch, Ricky Sosa, Trey Miguel, and Moose. Slater received the news enthusiastically, thus concluding the first segment of the night.
- The Nemeths were backstage discussing the direction of TNA iMPACT! under The Hardys' leadership. Nic expressed his displeasure at being excluded from the Ladder Match for a shot at the TNA World Championship and for being forced to face his own brother. However, the latter was not a big issue for him, as he would find a way to emerge victorious. "But I could win," Ryan said. Nic silently observed his brother. Suddenly, he began to laugh. After that, he asked Ryan to call their mother to watch the match. Nic left to end this segment.
- The System approached Santino Marella with a series of demands. Cedric Alexander wanted a match for the X-Division Championship. Brian Myers expressed his displeasure that no faction member had a spot in the main event of the night. Additionally, Eddie Edwards also deserved his rematch against Ricky Sosa. Eddie, however, did not want it, as Sosa had rightfully defeated him. Marella stood up to inform them that they would not get anything from him, as he was officially on vacation that night. The TNA Authority Director left the scene. Meanwhile, an upset Bear Bronson confronted his leader for ignoring the Sosa matter. Tension between the two men escalated, leading their teammates to intervene.
- Nic Nemeth defeated Ryan Nemeth after hitting him with a Famouser. After the match, Nic grabbed a microphone to express his displeasure at being excluded from the main event of the night but promised to keep an eye on it "every damn second."
- AJ Francis and Expressions approached The Hardys backstage. Expressions requested a title opportunity for his partner. Matt and Jeff, however, offered them a great tag team match against The G.O.A.T.S. that same night. Francis pointed out that he was an individual wrestler, but the legends had a solution: Expressions would be his partner. He desperately tried not to get involved, but to no avail.
- The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) met Harley Hudson backstage. The Briton thanked them for their help at Bound For Glory and expressed her desire to return the favor. Vincent and Dutch appreciated her offer but advised her to stay away from them due to the danger of the match they would have that night. "I know you want to be in the ring with us. Trust me. We want that too," Vincent said before leaving with his partner.
- syX (Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw) defeated The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) in a Tables Match.
TNA provided a medical update on several of its talents:
- Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles approached The Hardys backstage. Kazarian expressed his intention to use his "Call Your Shot" trophy to challenge the legends if they manage to regain the TNA World Tag Team Championships. Matt, on the other hand, praised Frankie's work as Avery's mentor and wanted to reward that dedication: if The Hardys reclaim the titles, Kazarian and his protege will receive a direct title shot, without Frankie having to cash in his trophy.
- A cryptic video showed Allie and Rosemary sitting on the floor, apparently in different realities. Behind Allie, leaning against a wall, stood out a green heart drawn with dripping paint, while Rosemary sported a black heart painted on her face. The eerie segment ended with a close-up of Rosemary smiling, leaving more questions about this situation.
- The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) defeated AJ Francis and Expressions in a tag team match. Jeff delivered a Swanton Bomb on Expressions for the win.
- Zoey Serrano, Shayna Baszler, and Xia Brookside defeated Indi Hartwell, Harley Hudson, and Gabby Forza in a six-woman tag team match. Baszler applied a Kirifuda Clutch on Hudson to force her to submit.
- Trey Miguel defeated Elijah, Jason Hotch, Ricky Sosa, and Moose in a Ladder Match to earn a shot at the TNA World Championship at Destination X.
