Syko Stu has revealed the serious aftermath he suffered following the assault by Raja Jackson during a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in August 2025. The independent wrestler explained that he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, lost two teeth, and had to learn to walk again as a result of the attack, which kept him away from his work for approximately a year.
During an interview on the SOS podcast, hosted by Matt Rosa and Neno Torres, Stu recalled what happened that night and talked about his recovery process, which is still ongoing over a year after the incident.
The incident took place during a KnokX Pro Wrestling show, when Raja Jackson, son of former UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, interfered in a match involving Syko Stu.
What was initially supposed to be a planned interference turned into a real assault. Jackson took down the wrestler to the mat and began repeatedly hitting him on the head, even after he lost consciousness. Several participants of the event had to intervene to stop the attack. Raja Jackson's assault on Syko Stu generated a significant impact in the world of wrestling.
During the interview, Stu admitted that he barely remembers what happened and explained that Jackson's interference was supposed to be limited to a staged punch as part of the show.
I don't remember much of that. I do remember Raja coming into the locker room and he was recording. Normally, backstage isn't recorded like that. I know there was an incident with a can, and I don't remember much after that. We had agreed on the ending, and he was supposed to come in. I think he was going to punch me for the can thing. It was supposed to be a wrestling punch. I don't think anyone expected what ended up happening.
Stu stated that he lost consciousness at the moment of the takedown and didn't regain clear memories until several days later when he was hospitalized.
I lost consciousness with the takedown. I don't remember anything. The match had been going really well until then. I don't remember anything until Tuesday, I think. I woke up in the hospital. I had been in and out of consciousness that whole time. When I woke up, I saw some wrestlers. Rikishi was there, and we were talking. I was just trying to recover.
The physical consequences of the assault were particularly severe. Syko Stu suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, the loss of two teeth, and a fracture of the upper jaw, in addition to other injuries he couldn't recall during the interview.
The wrestler explained that for a time, he was unable to walk and had to regain that ability during his rehabilitation.
I really had to learn to walk again. For a while, I couldn't do it. I suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. I lost two teeth and fractured my upper jaw. I know there were more things, but right now I can't remember all of them.
The aftermath also affected his work life. Stu stated that he remained unable to work for about a year and continues to receive specialized medical attention.
I was out of work for a whole year. With a severe traumatic brain injury, and considering that my job mainly involves using computers, it was tough. I've been going to medical appointments. I'm still waiting for dental treatment to get implants. I'm also still seeing specialists for brain injuries. It's an ongoing process.
During the conversation, he was also asked if Raja Jackson or his father, Rampage Jackson, had tried to contact him after the incident.
Stu explained that he didn't have access to his phone while hospitalized and when he finally checked his messages, he found out that Rampage had tried to call him.
However, he decided not to return the call after hearing the statements that the former UFC fighter had publicly made about the incident.
I didn't have my phone the whole time I was in the hospital. When I got it back, it was full of messages. It took me a while to go through them, and I saw that Rampage had called me and wanted me to call back. But then I saw him popping up on all those podcasts and basically talking bad about me.
Following the incident, Rampage Jackson publicly admitted that his son had gone too far during the attack. However, Stu explained that he chose not to contact him because he felt that an opinion had already been formed about what happened.
The assault was broadcasted on the Kick platform, which later banned Raja Jackson from its service. The assailant was arrested and sentenced to 90 days in jail. In September 2026, Raja Jackson's release from prison after serving his sentence was reported.
Regarding his professional future, Syko Stu believes he could physically be ready to return to the ring, but he has doubts about his psychological readiness to compete again after what happened.
The wrestler remains focused on his recovery and medical follow-up for the injuries sustained, without having set a date for a possible return to wrestling.
