Ashante “Thee” Adonis has confirmed that his time in WWE has come to an end. Through a statement posted on his official X account, the wrestler expressed his gratitude for the six years he spent under the company’s spotlight and hinted that he is ready to begin a new chapter in his professional career.

“After six unforgettable years under the WWE lights, it’s time to close that chapter. I’m filled with gratitude for every opportunity, the experiences, the lessons, and the incredible talent I’ve had the chance to work with,” Adonis wrote, assuring that the best of his journey is yet to come.

The wrestler, who was also part of the Hit Row group, made it clear that his goal now is to show his true potential outside of WWE. “Sometimes you have to leave multiplayer mode and move forward in your story mode. This is a new beginning. I’m becoming the best version of myself and I’m only scratching the surface,” he added.

Adonis joined WWE in 2019, debuting on Raw in a handicap match against Braun Strowman. A year later, he officially signed with the company, standing out in WWE NXT before being promoted to SmackDown in 2021. After an initial departure alongside Hit Row in November of that same year, the group returned in 2022 without Swerve Strickland.

During his time in WWE, Adonis also made appearances in TNA Wrestling thanks to the collaboration between the two companies. Before his stint in the Stamford-based promotion, he worked for Ring of Honor and MCW Pro Wrestling between 2018 and 2019.

This news coincides with the rumored departure of Karrion Kross and Scarlett from WWE. Both talents’ contracts were set to expire this past weekend, but neither has officially confirmed their exit.
