After the brutal attack on Cody Rhodes last week on SmackDown, which left him injured and out of action, Drew McIntyre appeared tonight to justify his actions to the fans. McIntyre claimed that Cody had provoked him first and also intended to harm him.

McIntyre made his entrance to address the questions about his attack on Cody Rhodes last week. With microphone in hand, the Scotsman assured that the fans were wrong and that he had not attacked Cody. To prove it, he asked for the moment to be replayed and stated that, in reality, it was the champion who attacked him first.

McIntyre defended his actions by arguing that he had to defend himself, since Cody had provoked him and also intended to harm him. The Scotsman continued his promo by making a comparison with Rhodes, pointing out that while he wants to be champion, Cody needs him to shine, which makes him an easy target.

To conclude, McIntyre stated that he is not a bad person, but he becomes a nightmare if provoked. After justifying his actions and blaming Cody Rhodes for what happened, the Scotsman addressed the camera to send a final message: "Get well soon!", with a sarcastic smile as he walked backstage.
