Big companies like WWE and All Elite Wrestling actively collaborate with NGOs and associations that contribute selflessly to society, helping where it is most needed, whether by making a child happy or financially supporting a social or healthcare cause. However, they are not the only ones.

Last night, C4 (Capital City Championship Combat) Wrestling, a promotion based in Ottawa, held its annual fundraising event, Fighting Back, which turned out to be a complete success, reaching the amount of $132,000, which will be entirely allocated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Fighting Back is an annual event that has been taking place since 2011. The $132,000 figure includes the $38,000 raised through the 24-hour broadcast of Mystery Wrestling, where the longest wrestling match ever recorded took place.

Fighting Back 2025 took place last night at the Preston Event Center in Ottawa, Canada. The venue was sold out. Well-known talents such as Stu Grayson, Danhausen, Evil Uno, Ortiz, and Richard Holliday were part of the show, and later celebrated its success.

"Since August 2011, we have gathered annually to raise as much money as possible in memory of Phrank Morin, as well as all those close to us who have suffered from any type of cancer. Since 2011, over half a million dollars have been raised thanks to this cause," reads the official fundraising page of Fighting Back.

"Incredible, thanks to everyone who made this possible! We raised $132,000!!!! I am very proud to be part of a wrestling community like the one we have here in Ottawa," wrote Stu Grayson upon hearing the news.

"This is legitimately one of the best things I have been a part of. Over 130 thousand dollars (and counting) in donations this year for #FightingBack going to @cancersociety. I am very proud of my wrestling family," wrote Evil Uno.

Founded in 1938, the Canadian Cancer Society is the largest national charitable organization dedicated to cancer in Canada, as well as the largest national charitable funder of cancer research in the country. Its goals are cancer prevention, information, support, advocacy, and research. It currently has 50,000 volunteers.
