The battle between Jade Cargill and Naomi at WWE Evolution was full of chaos, but according to Cargill herself, it could have been even more extreme than what we saw. In a recent interview with Metro UK, the wrestler confessed that both had plans to include pepper spray, razor blades, and a fight among the audience.
"There were so many things we wanted to use. We wanted to use pepper spray, that was going to be complicated. And then we wanted to use blades, and that was also going to be complicated, but I was up for it, I said: 'blades, let's do it'", Jade commented. Another idea was to take the action into the crowd: "We wanted to go into the crowd, because women don't usually do that and I love interacting with the audience."
Although the pepper spray was ultimately discarded for safety reasons, Cargill didn't hide her enthusiasm: "I would have loved to use it. But of course, you have to think about the people. We don't want anyone in the crowd to end up sprayed, because the spray spreads a lot. That would have been crazy! The front row would have been set on fire with the pepper spray!"
The fight between Jade and Naomi included everything: tools, chains, trash cans, a TV screen, and tables. The end came when Cargill executed a Jaded on Naomi through a table to secure the victory. However, Naomi had the last word that same night: she cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase and became the Women's World Champion. A shocking twist that changed the course of Evolution.
Jade Cargill had a golden opportunity at SummerSlam when she faced Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship, but she couldn't capitalize on it. On the other hand, Naomi will appear this Monday on Monday Night Raw to make an important announcement about her status.
