The new WWE era of AAA has started strong, and the results of Triplemanía XXXIII are the best proof. The event, held last Saturday at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, brought together 19,691 fans and set the highest box office in the company's history.

The success also extended to digital platforms. According to Deadline, the live broadcast reached a peak of 614,000 simultaneous viewers, with over 4 million views in the first 24 hours through WWE and AAA's official YouTube channels, in both English and Spanish.

A total of 16 WWE superstars participated in the show, on a card that mixed figures from both companies. Among the highlights was the appearance of Rey Mysterio in Mexico, as well as the participation of El Grande Americano, Dragon Lee, and Dominik Mysterio in the main event.

The future: Worlds Collide

Following the success of the event, WWE and AAA confirmed that their next major joint project will be Worlds Collide in September, featuring a high-profile match between Dominik Mysterio and Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Megachampionship, which will serve as a continuation of this historic alliance.

The collaboration seems to have a promising future. "AAA was founded in 1992 by Antonio Peña... the Peña family will continue to be involved in the next chapter of AAA's business alongside WWE and Fillip," Deadline recalled, emphasizing that the promoter's identity will remain tied to its roots, now under a global scenario.
