The funeral of Hulk Hogan brought together a multitude of friends of the legend and other personalities from the business, also leaving many anecdotes and a few incidents, such as the one involving the widow of "The Hulkster" and Brutus Beefcake's wife. Other anecdotes were more lighthearted, like the one we are focusing on today.

During a recent interview for the podcast Inside The Ring on TMZ Sports, Matt Riddle, who also attended the funeral, recalled a brief conversation with Shane McMahon that ended with the MLW World Heavyweight Champion telling "Shane O-Mac" to "fuck off" in a "sarcastic" manner when he commented on his new look.

"You know, Vince was off to the side. I felt it would be very unprofessional to go look for him. If we naturally crossed paths, fine. I didn't get to talk to Paul. I saw Shane McMahon, and the first thing he said to me - and he said it sarcastically - was: 'Hey, nice hair'. I'm going to be honest with you, especially now that I don't work for anyone, I work for myself. He said that and I told him to fuck off and I left. To be fair, he was being sarcastic, and I told him to fuck off too in a sarcastic tone. But you know, in the world of professional wrestling, you never know. He might have taken it seriously," Riddle said.

Matt Riddle left WWE at the end of 2023. While his dismissal was officially due to a staff cut, the wrestler had already been singled out by the company after being involved in several controversies. Since then, Riddle has worked in the independent scene, standing out in NJPW and MLW, where he has become their top champion.

On the other hand, Shane McMahon has not appeared on a wrestling show for over two years. His last appearance was at WrestleMania 39, where he was supposed to face The Miz in an unannounced match. However, Shane suffered a quadriceps tear after dodging an attack from his opponent in the early stages of the match.

Since then, there have been many rumors about a possible move to All Elite Wrestling, especially after a meeting with Tony Khan last summer. However, both parties stated that it was just a wrestling-related conversation.
