WWE has held a new episode of Friday Night SmackDown this afternoon, this time from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The show was pre-taped on Netflix internationally and featured some important matches and moments, highlighting the match between the Motor City Machine Guns and Melo Don't Miz (The Miz and Carmelo Hayes).
Prior to the match, Carmelo Hayes had a moment with Fraxiom backstage. Axiom and Nathan Frazer tried to warn The Miz about his history, but The Miz showed up and Hayes defended him, describing him as the smartest man in the business.
Carmelo Hayes started the match with Sabin in the ring, but The Miz comically tagged himself in, eliciting a reaction from the fans. Nevertheless, Carmelo tagged back in, maintaining a good rapport within the team. This back-and-forth continued until the intensity escalated towards the end.
In the final moments, Carmelo Hayes knocked out Chris Sabin in the ring with the Codebreaker. Alex Shelley grabbed Carmelo, threw him out of the ring, and dove onto him, but an opportunistic The Miz took advantage of that moment to cover Sabin and secure the victory with a three-count. The Miz and Carmelo Hayes celebrated at ringside after the win.
Melo Don't Miz have managed to gel in the ring and achieve good results. Last week, The Miz and Carmelo Hayes defeated Fraxiom (Axiom and Nathan Frazer) in a tag team match. Despite the victory, Hayes wants to keep his distance.
Following the win, in a backstage segment, The Miz tried to make amends with Hayes for his involvement in the finish of the match against Fraxiom, but he was confronted by the Motor City Machine Guns. The Miz had a confrontation with them, and ultimately Nick Aldis decided to pit both teams against each other.
