The funeral of Hulk Hogan, held at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida, brought together a myriad of wrestling legends and left unforgettable scenes. Among the attendees was comedian Theo Von, who was accompanied by musician Kid Rock and later recounted his experience on his podcast.

Von described the ceremony as a true journey back in time, with the presence of figures such as Ric Flair, Jimmy Hart, Brutus Beefcake, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and even Dennis Rodman. Precisely, the former NBA player had a peculiar moment when Hogan's coffin wobbled slightly and he held it, which Von defined as "a last defensive play" by the always eccentric Rodman.

When Hulk Hogan appeared on screen, he gave me something to believe in. It was much more than entertainment, he gave us hope.

The comedian also recalled how he and his childhood friends fought not to fall asleep to watch Saturday Night's Main Event, holding each other's eyelids to not miss idols like Ultimate Warrior or Rick Rude. According to Von, "there was no one bigger for us than professional wrestlers."

The religious service also had a particularly emotional moment when Nick Hogan paid tribute to his father with a phrase adapted from his classic motto: "Whatcha gonna do when the Hulkster is watching over you?". A gesture that brought tears and smiles among those present.

Hulk Hogan passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 71, after being urgently transported to a hospital in Florida. In the following days, it was revealed that the family had initiated legal actions for alleged medical negligence during the treatment he was undergoing, adding a layer of pain and controversy to the farewell of one of the greatest icons in wrestling history.
