Naomi vacated the WWE Women's World Championship last month after announcing her pregnancy, and the company is already working on a big match to decide the new champion. However, current plans could lead to a familiar face once again reigning at the top of the women's division.

According to Billi Bhatti on the Dirty Sheets Wrestling Informer podcast, WWE's intention is for Rhea Ripley to regain the championship next month during the Crown Jewel event, which will take place in Perth, Australia. Additionally, it is expected that the Australian will end her losing streak against IYO SKY on her path to capturing the title.

As things stand, the plan is for Rhea Ripley to regain the vacant championship in her home country of Australia during next month's PLE Crown Jewel. It is also believed that Ripley will put an end to her losing streak against IYO SKY in order to reclaim the title.

It is confirmed that IYO SKY will face Stephanie Vaquer at Wrestlepalooza, an event taking place in Indianapolis on September 20, to determine the new world champion. However, all signs point to the mid-term plan being for Ripley to defeat IYO in Perth and lift the championship in front of her home crowd, which means that IYO SKY will defeat Stephanie Vaquer at Wrestlepalooza.

The premium event Crown Jewel will be held on October 11 at the RAC Arena in Perth, and WWE seems determined to give Ripley the spotlight moment her fans have been waiting for months.

It is worth noting that Asuka urged IYO SKY to help her conquer the Women's World Championship at Wrestlepalooza. Recent rumors had suggested that SKY and Asuka would soon have a rivalry, but it seems that plan has also changed. However, WWE could use that story to give a twist to Sky's character.
