WWE confirms the return of AJ Lee

The hypothetical return of AJ Lee is one of the most talked-about topics in the WWE environment during the last week. It all started at Clash in Paris, when Becky Lynch joined Seth Rollins in the main event, facilitating his victory over Jey Uso, LA Knight, and CM Punk. After the live show, Punk stared intensely at a fan's banner asking for the return of AJ Lee, his real-life wife, which sparked rumors on the Internet.

This morning, WWE may have revealed the definitive clue about the return of the former Divas champion, as their online store has confirmed not only her return but that it could happen before Wrestlepalooza. A fan asked the official X account about AJ Lee merchandise available on WWE Shop, and this was CM's response:

CM Punk hinted on Monday Night Raw at his appearance on this Friday's episode of Friday Night SmackDown at the Allstate in Chicago, Illinois. The way he hinted to Adam Pearce on Raw, it is likely that CM Punk will confirm AJ Lee's return that day.

As reported by Fightful early this morning, WWE has reached an agreement with the wrestler to return to the ring, which could well happen at Wrestlepalooza. Among the most obvious plans, we have on the table a tag team match between Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch against CM Punk and AJ Lee, but that match has not been confirmed yet.
