Ronda Rousey has confirmed one of the most talked-about rumors regarding her rivalry with Becky Lynch. During an appearance on the podcast The Lapsed Fan, the former UFC champion and ex-WWE superstar admitted that she refused to submit to "The Man" in 2018, when they were supposed to face off at Survivor Series.

The original plan was for Lynch to defeat Rousey by submission, but the former MMA champion rejected the proposal, claiming that her mother, AnnMaria De Mars, the first American to win a world gold in judo, would have disowned her. "They proposed that I submit to her armbar at Survivor Series, and I said, 'my mother would disown me'. Every time someone put me in a real armbar, I let them dislocate it and I got out as best I could. That's why my ligaments are destroyed in this arm. So I wasn't going to do it," she explained. However, Shayna Baszler did make her submit before leaving the company.

In competitions, when someone choked me, I just passed out, but I didn't tap. I'm from the 'no tap' school. That's just who I am.

Finally, the highly anticipated match between Becky and Ronda took place in the main event of WrestleMania 35 in 2019, in a triple threat match that also included Charlotte Flair. There, Lynch secured the victory with a three-count pin on Rousey using a backslide, solidifying one of the most memorable moments in recent history of the WWE women's division.

Ronda Rousey has been in the news in recent days for her statements, claiming that Vince McMahon is a coward. The former women's champion also confirmed that her career as a professional wrestler is over.
